WWE RAW: The Top 6 Moments of Monday Night

Sean O'NeilJun 2, 2018

Monday night's episode of RAW was an interesting one to say the least.

We saw our share of both exciting and boring moments, along with a match between Randy Orton and Heath Slater which went about three minutes longer than I anticipated it to...even though the match only lasted five minutes itself.

These are my top six moments of the night.

6) Lawler and Ryder Defeat Otunga and McGillicutty

1 of 6

After taking Jerry Lawler's announcing so personally last week, the former New Nexus tag team champions wanted to take on Lawler in a match.

Lawler came out to face them and brought Zach Ryder with him. It was a decent match which Lawler and Ryder won, and the best part was how Ryder took command of the match.

He told Lawler that he wanted to start the match and then when Lawler could have finished it, Ryder yelled at the King to let him back into the ring. He did and Ryder got the pin.

Woo woo woo!

5) Miz and R-Truth Have an Epiphany

2 of 6

When the Miz and R-Truth arrived at the ring before Truth's match against CM Punk, the two had something to say. Well, Truth tried to say it and Miz ended up clarifying.

The two have challenged the tag team champions, Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston for the championship at Night of Champions in two weeks.

It was a great promo, and I found myself chuckling as Truth struggled with the "big words."

4) Christian Running Away from Sheamus

3 of 6

In the main event elimination match when the team of John Cena, Sheamus, John Morrison and Alex Riley were narrowed down to only Sheamus and Cena, Sheamus was in the ring against Christian.

Once Sheamus got the upper hand, Christian got out of the ring and started running through the crowd.

It was a pretty funny moment and I thought it was great that Christian had to slow down to let Sheamus catch up to him. He then proceeded to throw Christian into the titantron.

Quality television.

3) CM Punk and Triple H Set the Stipulations

4 of 6

After R-Truth lost to CM Punk (which surprised me after the distraction by the Miz), Triple H came out to have a word with Punk.

Hunter stated that this was now personal, and he wanted to hurt Punk at Night of Champions. Therefore, their match was now going to be a no-disqualifications match where anything goes.

Punk agreed but only if Triple H agreed that if he lost, he would have to resign as COO.

I like the stipulation of no DQs, but not the idea of Triple H having to resign if he loses. I don't think Triple H will be relinquishing his duties anytime soon, so I fully expect Hunter to win this match.

2) SuperCena Arrives

5 of 6

When John Cena was down two to one against Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler, he made the transformation into SuperCena.

Cena hit a double five knuckle shuffle, an AA on Ziggler, broke out of the ankle lock and finished off Swagger with a STFU.

Then Alberto Del Rio came into the ring to beat up on Cena, but Cena avoided him and hit an AA on the Mexican Aristocrat.

I may not like it when John Cena turns into SuperCena, but it was a great segment and it was great to see Del Rio finally get what he had coming to him.

1) Triple H Fires Kevin Nash

6 of 6

During the opening segment of the show, we got to see another confrontation between Cm Punk, Triple H and Kevin Nash.

We found out that Nash sent the text to himself from Hunter's phone at SummerSlam, which we found through security camera footage from the Staples Center.

Nash proceeded to go on a rant about he was trying to help the company by putting Punk in his place and doing what Triple H was not. He also said that either him or Punk needed to go.

After pushing Hunter's buttons too far once again, Nash got punched in the face by the COO and was fired on the spot.

We saw Nash leave in a car with John Lauranitis, but this definitely is not the last that we will see from Kevin Nash.

I hope you enjoyed, share your thoughts!

Here's to the idiotic stepdaughter and the doofus son in law.
