Survivor Series Behind The Scenes News and Notes

Joe Burgett Nov 19, 2008

As most wrestling fans are aware of, WWE Survivor Series is just a few days away. And it looks to be one of the best ever. And not because of John Cena's return. It even isn't about the traditional tag matches.

It is about a few things people may not be aware of. It is rumored that Edge will be at SmackDown to make his big return but he could be at Survivor Series.

See Edge lives in the Florida area, and SmackDown is there, so he could go in unnoticed for that. And not be at Survivor Series, but he could slip into Boston and come in.

But that is only a rumor for now. He may not be coming alone to the SmackDown tapings I am hearing. Christian Cage might make be at the event too. Cage is rumored to come to the WWE once his contract ends after this week.

He has already been offered a contract by the WWE, but has not accepted because he is contractually obligated to TNA right now. And since that ends after this week, it would be ok. Which is pretty cool as far as I can see.

See Cage can go to a WWE event, and not be in the show. It is really easy for him to, since TNA just so happens to be in the Florida area too. Obviously he could buy a ticket and get in, but he has been invited so maybe the WWE will pick up the tab.

Sure he may not even be shown at the show, but there is no doubt he could be there. He can appear on WWE TV once his TNA contract expires, even with the 90 day no compete clause that TNA might issue.

See he can be on TV at anytime, he just cannot wrestle for a few months. Now Edge's return was supposed to be next Friday on Friday Night SmackDown. So that part is for sure. But since the WWE changes their minds you never know.

If the WWE is able to get Cage, the WWE will most likely will make Edge's return at SmackDown next week. But if not they may make his return be at Survivor Series.

If he were to be in Survivor Series, he would interfere in the WWE Championship match. Which brings me to Jeff Hardy, as you are aware of if Hardy was to defeat Triple H this Friday on SmackDown he would be apart of the WWE Championship match.

It looks as if the WWE is signing off on that and Hardy will win Friday and go to Survivor Series and be in the WWE Championship match. They may do an interference thing were there is a roll-up involved possibly. I am not sure how he wins only that he is supposed to.

But the there still is the John Cena story isn't there, although it isn't as important as Cage possibly being at Survivor Series it is important none the less. He going to return and be in the World Championship match with Chris Jericho.

The WWE is making Jericho sort of a whiny brat and who loses and makes everyone feel sorry for him. I am not saying that the WWE is, Vince McMahon wants him to appear that way because he feels the audience likes to see that kind of heel rather than the one he portrayed before.

He basically portrayed a guy who didn't like the fans and just yelled at them all the time. Once he won the World Title, Vince changed it to seem as if he got lucky, and he was only winning on luck rather than wrestling ability.

John Cena is rumored to win the WWE Championship and face Randy Orton next. But since it has not happened yet, you didn't hear all of this from me.

What do you guys think about Survivor Series, will it be the best one ever?
