High School Football Scores Week 1: How the USA Today Super 25 Fared

The High School football season got underway last weekend, with plenty of high profile teams playing.

St. Thomas Aquinas, Florida was the top-rated team in action so far this year as they knocked off then No. 3, and now No. 7 team Prattville, Alabama by a score of 34-31.

Myrtle Beach (SC) over No. 8 Byrnes (SC)

Myrtle Beach stunned No. 8 Byrnes in overtime by a score of 28-21. After the game resumed following a weather delay, Byrnes blew a 21 point lead to lose the game in overtime.

C.J. Cooper, the quarterback for Myrtle Beach, threw touchdown passes in the game, all of which landed in the arms of Tramond Wilson.

The loss marked the first time since 2001 that Byrnes had lost a home game.

Tramond Wilson (Myrtle Beach, SC)

Wilson caught four touchdown passes in the team's upset over Byrnes. He scored the tying touchdown in regulation with just over one minute to go in the game, and recorded the game winner in overtime on a ten-yard strike from C.J. Cooper.

Antonio Connor (South Panola)

Connor scored two touchdowns for South Panola and ran for 118 yards in a losing effort. One of the touchdowns came on the ground, the other came on a 77-yard punt return.

According to WSBT, Green-Beckham, the nation's top recruit, is about to shorten his list of potential schools in the coming weeks.

Green-Beckham has not released his list and is not expected to release it to the public. He has stated multiple times that he wishes to keep the list private.
