WWE Raw: 10 Ways the Miz and R-Truth Combination Can Conquer Raw

Drake OzSep 5, 2011

The Miz and R-Truth are convinced that Triple H is at the forefront of a conspiracy against them, and they’re not going to stop wreaking havoc until they find out why.

Once sworn enemies who feuded over the United States Championship, The Miz and Truth have united to get themselves noticed on Monday Night Raw by any means necessary.

Both wrestlers have felt like they’ve been underused and unappreciated over the last several months. They’re done feeling that way.

The arrogant Miz and the hilarious Truth have joined forces and are poised to take over Raw and climb back up the WWE ladder.

But, here’s a question for Truth and Miz: How exactly do you two plan on doing that?

Well, just in case they’re out of ideas, I’ve come up with 10 ways for the WWE’s new dynamic duo to conquer Monday nights.

10. Focus on Both Tag Team and Singles Wrestling

1 of 10

The most star-studded duos—like Jerishow (Big Show and Chris Jericho) and Rated RKO (Randy Orton and Edge)—obviously focused on tag-team action, but they didn't just throw their singles careers away.

The Miz and R-Truth (Truly Awesome?) have to do the same.

They must make sure to wrestle Raw's other top stars one-on-one while also going after any tag teams that both Raw and SmackDown have to offer.

After all, the goal of the alliance between Miz and Truth is for both of them to stop being overlooked. They're going to need to do everything in their power to get noticed, which means they'll have to take some nontraditional steps to catch the eyes of the WWE brass.

If that means wrestling a tag-team match at the beginning of Raw and a singles match later, then so be it.

As long as Truth and Miz are striving for both united and individual success, they'll be on their way to the top.

9. Bring Michael Cole Back into the Mix

2 of 10

Do I want to see more of Michael Cole? Hell no. I can't stand the guy.

But for storyline purposes, it might make sense to bring him back and pair him up with R-Truth and The Miz, who Cole sweats like an obese man in a sauna.

Considering that Miz and Truth want to get more respect and appreciation from the WWE, there's really no better way to do that than by having the WWE's ultimate a**kisser (Cole), well, kiss their a**es.

Week in and week out, you can have the "Voice of the WWE" use that voice to proclaim how it's a travesty that Truth and Miz don't get the respect they deserve, how it's ridiculous that they aren't in the WWE Championship picture. Blah, blah, blah.

Not only will Cole's relationship with Truth and Miz get them even more heat than they already do, it would force WWE C.O.O. Triple to, at the very least, take notice of Truly Awesome.

8. Get Some Help from John Laurinaitis

3 of 10

There seems to be a bit of a power struggle going on between Triple H and John Laurinaitis, who keeps making crucial decisions without consulting his boss.

Now, if R-Truth and The Miz think that Triple H is the one who's leading the conspiracy against them, then chances are that they see the tension between Triple H and Laurinaitis and how they can take advantage of it.

That's exactly what they should do.

Considering the beef between Laurinaitis and Triple H, it can be said that Laurinaitis is not part of the "conspiracy" against Truth and Miz. Rather, he is an avid supporter of Raw's new duo and is willing to help them out.

Thus, The Miz and Truth need to get on the good side of Laurinaitis and start working for/with him if they want to climb back up the WWE ladder.

7. Challenge for and Win the WWE Tag Team Championships

4 of 10

This one's pretty self-explanatory.

You're a duo that wants to get noticed? You challenge for—and win—the WWE Tag Team Championships.

Tag-team runs have actually done wonders for the careers of both The Miz and R-Truth. The Miz's tag title reigns with The Big Show and John Morrison helped elevate his in-ring work and his heel status, and it was Truth's partnership with Morrison that led to his fabulous heel turn earlier this year.

Should The Miz and Truth knock off Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston to win the WWE Tag Team titles, the WWE brass will have no choice but to be impressed.

6. Crossover to SmackDown, Too

5 of 10

No one gives a crap about us on Raw? That's fine. We'll just go destroy people on SmackDown until somebody does.

That's the type of mentality that The Miz and R-Truth should have.

The WWE is all about cross-promotion between the two brands these days, so they can head over to the blue brand, pick up some tag team (and singles) wins there, and then boast about it when they go back to Raw.

You have to figure that wins on Friday nights will eventually lead to more exposure, matches and, eventually, wins on Monday nights.

If that isn't the case, then maybe there really is a conspiracy against Miz and Truth...

5. Join Forces with Triple H

6 of 10

There's an old saying that goes something like this: If you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

We can apply that here with The Miz and R-Truth, who think that Triple H is leading some huge conspiracy that's meant to keep them from succeeding in the WWE.

Well, that may be the case with a face Triple H, but the widespread expectation is that the new WWE C.O.O. will turn heel sooner rather than later.

If that indeed happens, then Triple H will certainly be looking to align himself with some of Raw's top heels.

Truth and Miz certainly fit that bill, and they could join forces with Triple H in a feud against CM Punk and some of Raw's mid-card faces.

4. "Pull a Nexus"

7 of 10

When the Nexus debuted last year on Monday Night Raw, it shocked everybody.

The NXT Season 1 rookies ruined the show's main event, they destroyed John Cena and CM Punk and they demolished anything and everything in and around the ring. They then continued to wreak havoc during both TV and pay-per-view matches, especially the main events.

See where I'm going with this? Let's take a page out of the WWE history book and have R-Truth and The Miz do the exact same thing.

Fed up with being left out of Raw's main event or off the show altogether, they can make their way to the ring mid-match and unleash hell (a la Nexus) in the arena.

It would accomplish several things, but perhaps most importantly, it would make everyone on the Raw roster fear the team of Truth and Miz.

3. Win Both the United States and WWE Championships

8 of 10

I can think of no better way for a duo to control a show than to control both of its titles.

If the WWE creative team is serious about getting the team of Miz and R-Truth over in a huge way, then they won't just have them win the WWE Tag Team Championships. They'll have The Miz win the WWE Championship and Truth win the United States Championship.

Or vice versa.

That way, The Miz and Truth would hold the two most prestigious titles on the Raw brand, thus giving them more power than any other superstar from Monday Nights.

2. Do Whatever They Want

9 of 10

My favorite type of wrestler is someone who does whatever the hell he wants without fearing the possible consequences.

It works with a face (like Stone Cold or CM Punk), it works with a heel (Randy Orton or Triple H) and it could work with The Miz and R-Truth.

Just give these guys an "I don't give a flying ____" attitude, and let them roll with it.

Have them interfere in matches, beat the crap out of announcers and timekeepers, refuse to wrestle, cut promos during other wrestlers' matches, attack jobbers, etc.

The end goal is to do exactly what Punk did: Take the WWE hostage.

I'd love to see Miz and Truth do just that, only as heels rather than faces. It would turn the WWE upside down.

1. Recruit More Wrestlers to Join Them

10 of 10

The team of Miz and Truth is a very formidable duo, but it wouldn't hurt to add a little strength in numbers.

They aren't the only wrestlers in the WWE who feel like they've been overlooked. Guys like Jack Swagger, Cody Rhodes, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Tyson Kidd and Wade Barrett all have legitimate gripes of being underutilized as well.

The creative team hasn't exactly been kind to most of these guys over the last six months or so, and it would benefit them to join forces for the cause.

Imagine seeing Truth, Miz, McIntyre and Swagger unite to take over Raw. That's potentially epic TV in the making.

So, let's just wait and see if any more wrestlers join Miz and Truth on their crusade against the WWE's conspiracy starters.
