2011 PPR Fantasy Football: Top 200 Player Rankings / Projections

Sean E. DouglasJun 7, 2018

As we head into another season of fantasy football, it’s time to take one last look at our final PPR rankings. Throughout the summer, we’ve had Arian Foster as the top pick in standard and PPR leagues, but in light of this week's news about his hamstring, Foster has fallen to fifth on our board.

Chris Johnson ended his holdout, and I have no doubts about his ability to stay healthy and touch the football 20 times, week one. Look to CK2K as the top running back to draft this weekend.

Just look to Matt Forte as a player who can benefit from the addition of scoring a point per reception, as he becomes a reliable weekly option as a No.2 running back with his pass catching skills. Forte’s lack of consistency in total yardage and touchdowns has made him a frustrating running back to own in standard scoring leagues, but with extra points from the passing game, Forte can provide respectable numbers, and that makes him an easy start weekly.

On the flip side of Forte’s added value, you have players like LeGarrette Blount and Michael Turner, who stand to lose value in PPR leagues because they will probably total 15 receptions at best. It won’t hurt you to have a few players who accumulate a low reception total on your squad, but you will want to have at least one receiver who can come close to 100 receptions and a running back that can total over 50 receptions, for a well-rounded team.

Throughout the summer, we will be updating our top 200 players for PPR leagues. Come back towards the end of July and just before the third week of the preseason to get an updated listing to help you prepare for your PPR draft this summer.

Late Round Sleepers

Antonio Brown—If you haven’t paid attention to the Steelers in recent weeks, it’s clear this team has a youth movement going on at receiver. Mike Wallace has been terrific in his first two years as a pro and Emmanuel Sanders has made plays in this offense.

The next fantasy relevant wide out on this team should be Antonio Brown, as the youngster has had a great camp and his four receptions for 137 yards and two touchdowns, week three, should be a clue that Brown is worthy of drafting late in 12 team leagues.

While Brown is likely a better receiver in standard scoring leagues, I suggest you target him late in your draft. Hines Ward clearly looked older last year, and Brown will get an opportunity to shine this year.

Deji  Karim—In recent days, Deji Karim’s fantasy value is starting to move as he had a nice game in the Jaguars' fourth preseason contest, and backup Rashad Jennings is nursing a bad knee injury. Talk has even floated around that the team might consider placing Jennings on IR, and that is big news from Karim.

If you read my work on Maurice Jones-Drew, you know I’m not a fan of him as he’s coming off of microfracture knee surgery. Look to Karim as the likely No.2 back to start the season. If Jones-Drew should miss time with a setback,  Karim might be a sleeper who pays off big in 2011.
