Jim Tressel Hired as a Consultant for the Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts have hired Jim Tressel as a consultant in instant replay challenges. This come just months after a scandal-filled season at Ohio State, in which investigations led five starters, including QB Terrelle Pryor, to be suspended for five games in the 2011 season.
Pryor has since joined the NFL and went to the Oakland Raiders in the supplemental draft. The Colts are not scheduled to play Oakland, but there will likely be questions on whether Tressel should have to sit out the first five games like Pryor has to in the NFL. More than likely, the former head coach will not be suspended.

Nonetheless, love him or hate him, Tressel has benefited in earning $21 million over his coaching career. Maybe it is time for him to sit back and take in a few seasons as a consultant of instant replay.
Bottom line is this:
Your fans and fellow players are going to back you while other fans and players will try to break you. None of us are morally perfect. Even with NCAA ethics enforced, coaches always move on.
Bill Callahan was placed pretty quickly as an assistant head coach at the New York Jets after a questionable tenure at the University of Nebraska. Does anyone have Pete Carroll's number? I would like his take on all this.
Often times we put ourselves in the thought that sometimes the rules apply to us and sometimes they don't.
_ _ it happens.
UPDATE: According to ESPN, on September 5, 2011, Jim Tressel will not start with the Colts until the seventh game of season.
