Tennessee Titans Are Just One of Many Surprises in 2008 NFL Season

Can you believe it? Where did these Titans come from?

The last time I watched the Titans, they were becoming one of the worst teams in the NFL. Last year they barely pulled out a decent record, if at all.

But as it stands, the Tennessee Titans are currently 10-0!

Is it possible? Could we be looking at a repeat of 2007? Could the Titans go all the way?

Undoubtedly, they have the talent. Kerry Collins has revived his career, while Lendale White and Chris Johnson are working as a cohesive running force. Alge Crumpler is showing he's still the top tight end in the league. Justin Gage and Brandon Jones are proving themselves as some of the top receivers in the game as well.

It appears that the Tennessee Titans are in perfect form, and their record shows it. We could quite possibly be looking at the 2008-2009 Super Bowl champions!

But history always repeats itself. The Titans may end up falling to a fate similar to that of the Patriots, especially with the New York Giants controlling the NFC at 9-1.

On the flip side, what has happened to the Detroit Lions?

After the loss of John Kitna, it appears the team is falling apart. As it stands, they are the only 0-10 team in the NFL, which is not surprising considering the Miami Dolphins are seemingly starting to get themselves in gear.

The NFL is giving birth to new stars in this season.

We see the weak teams popping up as top contenders. The Jets are reclaiming the AFC East from the New England Patriots for the first time in almost 10 years. Meanwhile, one of last year's worst teams is now unbeaten, and one of last year's better teams is winless.

This is undoubtedly one of the whackiest NFL seasons in recent history. Who knows who is going to be in the Super Bowl?

The way things look, it could be anyone. (Except the Detroit Lions.)
