Leonel Messi has won the Goal.com 50 Best Player Award For 2010-2011. Messi easily defeated Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) by a difference of 12.9% or 42,438 votes.

Messi received 44.9% or 146,866 votes. Ronaldo received 32.0% or 104,428 votes and received a narrow victory among Goal.com readers living in Turkey as well as Hong Kong.

The voter turnout in the Goal.com vote was 300,000, which is a great number.
