Auburn Confidence Is Underwhelming!

Usually when I write a humorous article, it is given from my perspective with funny stuff that I write myself.  However this time, nothing can beat the things that are being done by Auburn themselves.

How confident is Auburn heading into the "Iron Bowl"?  Apparently, not very. 

Take this story for example.  It seems that every year the Huntsville, Alabama Auburn Club has an annual "Beat Bama" party.  During their day it was quite a party. 

However this year, their website proudly proclaims,

"2008 Beat Bama Party
Due to registration response, this years Beat Bama Party has
been cancelled. Those folks that have registered will be
contacted for a refund.
War Eagle!"

Boy you just can't write stuff like that yourself. 

Then there's the torrent of Auburn tickets being sold everywhere.  It will be hard to determine just where the Auburn section is this year in Bryant-Denny Stadium. 

It seems no one wants to come and see first hand the destruction, be a part of the pre-game festivities or be associated with them at this point.  I'll bet the movie cinemas will be packed on the plains next Saturday, as Tiger fans look for something more pleasant to watch.

It seems that only Auburn football player Brad Lester has been chosen to be trotted out as the only village idiot after going public and predicting that Auburn would beat both Georgia and Alabama and by a good number of points to boot.

Well we know how that prediction is standing up so far. 

Every other Auburn fan has gone into hiding.  All the Auburn flags have been lowered just like the expectations.  Their confidence is just underwhelming.
