Matt Hardy: Troubled Former TNA Star Says 'Goodbye, World'
When you talk about committing suicide, everyone takes you seriously.
A new video posted online by TNA wrestler Matt Hardy has gotten everyone's attention.
In a video posted on his Twitter account in the late hours of Tuesday titled “Goodbye,” a graphic of text posted the following words:
"Goodbye, World...My time here is Almost complete...I only have a few hours & minutes...I loved you all...Regardless of how you felt about me...I'll miss you all...September 23, 1974 - August 31, 2011."
It’s a sobering message that has friends and family beyond concerned. Nobody knows what to make of the video, but fans across the wrestling world are in a state of shock.
His statement comes after a rough string of unfortunate events.
He was arrested and charged with DUI in North Carolina on August 22 and was later released from his duties as a TNA wrestler. Hardy was then rushed to the hospital last week after taking a nasty fall in his home.
Judging by his Twitter feed, he has been trying to stay upbeat during this rough patch. He called Saturday the day he was “reborn.” Hardy mentioned his amazing circle of family and friends that will “never be broken” in the past week as well.
Yet just looking at his background shows a picture with Hardy’s two fingers pointed at his chin, mimicking the action of shooting himself.
It’s a very scary time for everyone in Hardy’s circle, and hopefully, somebody can find him before it’s too late.
The 36-year-old still has plenty of years left in front of him and going out in this manner is not the way anybody wants to see Hardy say goodbye.
