As www.mlb.com has just reported, Albert Pujols has won the National League MVP Award. Albert knocked in 37 home runs and batted .357. This was truly an amazing season, which didn't result in a playoff berth but did prove that Pujols is a force to be reckoned with.

This is Pujols' second MVP award in the last two years, dating back to 2006 when they had an amazing season.

Finishing second in the voting was—in my eyes the front-runner, Ryan Howard.
