Little League World Series: Why It Deserves All the Attention It's Been Getting

The Little League World Series has given us more baseball entertainment, action, fun and excitement. You have over 7,000 teams competing for one title, and once it gets down to 16 teams, the real fun begins.

More walk-offs. More great plays. More dominant hitting performances. More dominate pitching performances. You never know what excitement you will get.

Therefore, it deserves all the attention. It deserves the big crowds. It deserves to be televised on ESPN. That's what makes it so fun.

With the LLWS final this year, which will just add to the heavy amount of viewers, you had a great game where a walk-off single was needed to end a game headlined by pitching.

Now, some kids who barely anyone besides relatives and friends knew are household names across the country. I'd bet almost anyone they'd never heard of Nick Pratto before his dominating hitting and pitching display in the LLWS, including his walk-off single.

In the sixth inning of the final between Japan and Huntington Beach, California, Pratto singled home pinch-runner Erik Anderson with two outs to end a classic game.

For California, Braydon Salzman gave up one unearned run and scored the win (while pitching a three-hitter), and Hagen Danner homered.

See all the excitement this game brought. And how about Danner's shutout against Pennsylvania? Ben Askleson's walk-off for Montana? All these moments have brought excitement to the LLWS.

And they should bring entertainment to the viewers.
