Manchester United Transfer Rumours: Sneijder Deal Back On?!

After months of talk and speculation, it seems that the Wesley Sneijder-Manchester United saga could still rumble on right up until the transfer window slams shut on Wednesday.

According to talkSPORT, Manchester United first team coach René Meulensteen has admitted that the club could still clinch a last-gasp deal with Inter Milan over their prized playmaker.

Meulensteen said, "A player the calibre of Wesley Sneijder could well suit us. I've said it before and I repeat it again where there’s a will, there's always a way.”

The Red Devil's coach's comments provoked a response from Sneijder himself.

Inter Milan's Dutch maestro responded by saying, "If anything happens, it happens. We will see."

Sneijder's ambiguous comments aren't likely to douse the flames of this red-hot story and it's anyone's guess as to where he will end up come August 31. 

With the deadline looming, anything is possible in the crazy world of football transfers.
