England vs Wales: Preview, TV Schedule, Game Time and More
England takes on Wales in their second EURO 2012 Qualifier. England is on top of the Group G table.
England will be trying to complete a Group G double over their neighbors. England beat Wales, 2-0, at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in March. Frank Lampard (on penalty) and Darren Bent both netted goals inside the first 15 minutes, and England kept Wales off the board from there.
This will be the 101st time that England and Wales have met on the pitch. England has dominated, wining 65 of the contests.
This is a key match for both squads. Wales recently lost 1-0 to Montenegro. They have yet to record a point in four EURO qualifying matches.
England enjoys just a one goal advantage on Wales for first place in Group G.
Where: Wembley Stadium, London, England
When: Tuesday, September 6th at 1:45 PM Eastern time

Biggest Storyline: Can Wales Snap Their Streak of Futility at Wembley?
This will be Wales' first trip to the new Wembley. They made 16 visits to the old Wembley, and their last win there against England came back in 1977. They aren't likely to snap that streak on this visit.
Player to Watch for England: Wayne Rooney
Wayne Rooney will be the best player on the pitch when these two teams meet. Rooney has been better than ever in his 2011 Manchester United campaign as he has taken his already dominant play to the next level.
Look for Rooney to put on a show in this match.
Player to Watch for Wales: Gareth Bale
Bale is quickly rising to the top of the list of the world's best wingers. His speed, dribbling and playmaking make him a constant threat on the pitch.
If Wales has any hope of success against England, than Bale is going to have to dominate. He represents the biggest matchup problem for England.
Key Matchup: Wayne Rooney vs. Wales' Defense
Rooney is capable of being a one-man wrecking crew. He can score goals in bunches and can also open things up for his teammates.
Wales will have to make Rooney the focus of their defense. However, they will have to be careful to not lose track of his teammates while doing so.
What They're Saying:
England is hoping an infusion of young talent can push this team to elite status. Here is what Fox News Latino had to say about it:
"Phil Jones has been called into the England squad for the first time along with uncapped Manchester United teammates Chris Smalling and Tom Cleverely for the 2012 European Championship qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales.
The trio all starred in United's 8-2 thrashing of Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday, having been thrust into the team this season as Alex Ferguson overhauls the champion's squad.
''He changed the team completely,'' England coach Fabio Capello said of Ferguson. ''The talent is incredible. When you find the talent, you need to use it.''
Although England is yet to qualify for Euro 2012—the team is top of Group G only on goal difference ahead of Montenegro—Capello already has one eye on the finals.
After a weary side struggled at the 2010 World Cup, Capello hopes to take fresher, younger talent to Poland and Ukraine.
