Bears-Packers: Chicago Gets "ManHandled"

Aaron NarugNov 16, 2008

Many people—including me—believed, before the game, that the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers would be a very good game of two great rivals fighting for division positioning.

Boy where we wrong.

The game started off ok, a close game in the first quarter, then bam! The wallop began. The Packers scored a TD with Aaron Rodgers passing to the new shining star at receiver, Greg Jennings.

Then, in the second quarter, the Bears came back with a 35-yard field goal off the foot of Robbie Gould. With that, I am sorry to say for all us Bears fans, the wallop was on Ryan Grant, the running back with little "big" plays for this season, who just came out running. He then ran for a four-yard TD, which was capped off by a field goal by the Packers to end the half.

The half ended 17-3, but it was no help to the Bears, having time to prepare for the second half. Ryan Grant finished with 145 yards rushing on 25 attempts. Aaron Rodgers finished with 227 yards passing on 23/30 passing.

One of the big plays was on defense for the Packers, when Jason Hunter returned a fumble by Kyle Orton in the fourth quarter 54 yards for another TD, which was the last TD for the Packers.

The game ended 37-3 Packers win.

Some bright spots for the Bears: There where very few, so bare with me. Matt Forte, the rookie from Tulane, played pretty well; he rushed for 64 yards on 16 attempts. Brian Urlacher also had an interception.

Some things in this game where very mind boggling on the Packers part that will make any Bears fan slightly mad, like how the Packers kept seemingly trying to score and increase there lead after going for a first down on fourth down after being up by 21.

But, in conclusion all you Bears fans we have something to look forward to like, facing the Rams next week. So we have to just hope that DA BEARS do better next week, and Kyle Orton get better.

Please!
