Hagen Danner Is a Pitching Ace for California
1 of 5Hagen Danner is one of the top pitchers of the 2011 Little League World Series, and his tremendous performance against Pennsylvania in the semifinal of the U.S. bracket put California into the title game against Montana.
In the win against Pennsylvania, Danner struck out 12 batters and had three hits, including a towering home run.
Danner has a good fastball and a spectacular breaking ball but will face his toughest test of the tournament on Sunday versus Japan.
Yoshiki Suzuki Is a Fabulous Slugger
2 of 5Yoshiki Suzuki has been the most dominating hitter of the 2011 Little League World Series. He's the catalyst of the exciting Japan offense.
In 14 at-bats, Suzuki is hitting .429 with three home runs.
Suzuki is always a threat to go deep and can hit to the opposite field well too. California pitchers must take extra caution when he's on the mound.
The US Looks to Recapture the LLWS Crown
3 of 5The United States has won five of the last six Little League World Series titles, and California will attempt to take the title away from Japan, who won the championship last season.
California's combination of power hitting and dominating pitching will give them a great chance to bring the LLWS back to America.
Japan Will Play for a Nation Still Recovering
4 of 5Following the tragic tsunami that rattled Japan earlier in the year, the world has tried its best to aid the recovering nation.
Japanese sports teams have continued to represent their nation with class and dignity, and these young kids at the LLWS are no different.
Japan won't just be playing for the LLWS title Sunday, they will be playing for a victory that will help lift the spirits of a nation still recovering from a natural disaster.
These Kids Play with Unbelievable Heart and Passion
5 of 5The kids who participate in the Little League World Series aren't paid and they don't have sponsorship deals.
Unlike their professional heroes in the MLB, ego doesn't get in the way of their play.
These kids play for the love of the game and focus squarely on having fun and winning.
Playing on national television and making their hometown and parents proud are three things these kids will never forget.
You can guarantee both Japan and California will give every ounce of effort they have today in order to win the LLWS title, and the result will be an exciting and entertaining game.
