Saratoga Racetrack: Grade 1 Foxwoods King's Bishop

Uncle Mo was my pick for the Kentucky Derby this year but ended up missing the entire triple crown with a gastrointestinal infection.

Despite the fact that I think this is the most talented horse in this race, I'm staying away from him today.

This seven-furlong co-feature appears to be loaded with speed, and that doesn't benefit Uncle Mo.

Uncle Mo is currently the 9-5 morning-line favorite and will have plenty of company as soon as the race beings. 

I firmly believe that Flashpoint, Domiunus, Poseidon's Warrior, and Justin Phillip will all try to get to the front.

Regardless of who does have the lead, I think the early fractions will be at least 23.1 and 46 flat. 

Based on his last race, Flashpoint should be horse in best position to have the lead at the top of the stretch.

In his last race, Flashpoint stormed home to win by seven lengths in 1:08.3. If he runs back to that race, he's going to put the other early speed to bed early and probably hold on to win.

Uncle Mo has shown some ability to rate, and I think that's a necessity today. This is his first race since his disappointing third-place finish in the Wood Memorial on April 9. I love Uncle Mo's last three work outs at Saratoga.

With all the early speed, it makes sense to pick the one true closer.

I love Caleb's Posse, who is currently 9-2 to win this $250,000 race. In his last start, when he won the Grade 2 Amsterdam at Saratoga, this three-year-old colt posted his career-best Beyer of 105. 

He's losing two pounds from that race, and the early fractions should only help this talented horse.

I think that Uncle Mo will run well, but this is a very tough spot for him to return. I see him challenging Flashpoint at the top of the stretch and just being passed by Caleb's Posse deep in the stretch. These are very talented horses, so 1:22.2 is the time.
