2011 NFL: Are You Ready for Some Football?
It’s hard to believe that it’s almost here, but sure enough, the 2011 NFL season is just about to start.
After sitting and wondering if the lockout was ever going to end, football fans can now rest assured that football is going to continue and the 2011 NFL season has been saved.
If you're like me, you can’t wait for the season to begin. After the way things started out with the lockout, with all the hard feelings, I felt that the season could be in jeopardy. As time went on, it looked as if the lockout would run over part of the season, if not all of it.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The need to reach an agreement and “save the game,” as well as the season, brought both sides together in order to come up with a deal and keep the continuity of the NFL going.
Imagine the disappointment if the season had been cancelled—imagine the money and fan interest lost.
Seeing this, both sides realized that they couldn’t let the game suffer and so they came to an agreement.
Perhaps they remembered what happened to the NHL after it lost a season due to contract and financial difficulties. The NHL is just now starting to recover from the loss of that season and gain popularity back.
Would NFL fans have found it difficult to come “back” to the NFL had they cancelled the 2011 season? Would the loss of the entire 2011 season be too much for fans to handle? Would they hold a grudge against the league when it finally returned?
With football being the most popular sport in America, you can bet that most of the fanbase would have probably come back—perhaps even stronger than before.
I, for one, would have come back as a fan of the NFL and would have continued doing what I do today. I would have written about the NFL, attended games and watched them on television. I have been a football fan for years and I don’t think that an extended lockout would have affected my feelings about the game.
I am one of millions of football fans that are happy to see that football is back and that it’s not going to be set aside due to the arguments of people that want a bigger piece of the pie. I am excited that I get a chance to watch football this season and I am sure that there are many other fans out there that feel the same.
So, are you ready for some football? Are you happy that the football season has been saved?
If you're like me, you are and you can’t wait to see football back again this season. Perhaps it feels even better knowing that we almost didn’t have a season.
