Carlos Vela Could Be the Answer Against Aston Villa
Having just played a superb match in which he scored an incredible chip goal in the Carling Cup, Carlos Vela will be full of confidence and it's about time he got his chance in the first team.
With Emmanuel Adebayor injured and Robin van Persie suspended, Carlos Vela deserves his first Premier League start for Arsenal, when they take on Aston Villa at the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger seems to favour the clumsy Nicklas Bendtner, but I believe that Carlos Vela is much more talented than the tall Dane. Vela is quick and has great acceleration, and he's also equipped with a bag of tricks that can cut through defences like a hot knife through butter.

Vela is cool and calm in front of goal, and his first touch and control is a cut above Bendtner's.
It would be a shame for Wenger to go with the 4-5-1 formation. Though it did work well against Manchester United, I feel it will not have the same impact against Aston Villa. The 4-4-2 formation will no doubt create more chances, and it will give Carlos Vela a chance to show his magic.
Vela will be a huge threat to the likes Cuellar, Davies, and Shorey, and his pace on and off the ball will surely play a huge part in the Arsenal attack. Also, if Bendtner and Vela are paired upfront together it is not all bad, Vela and Bendtner work well together and communicate well.
Bendtner looks more suited with Vela than the likes of van Persie and Adebayor. Vela's pace and Bendtner's height could prove to be too much for the Villa defence, and Arsenal could come off with a thrashing.
Hopefully Vela is given his chance and if he is, I am sure he will shine and definitely bag a few goals.
He may even get a hat-trick, but we will have to wait and see—as Wenger says, "Vela can be worldclass".
