Rey Mysterio: 5 Possible Feuds for When He Returns

Rey Mysterio lost to Alberto Del Rio on Monday, August 15 in a WWE Championship match, and was then savagely beaten by Del Rio with the cross armbreaker before being saved by John Cena. 

The WWE has used this to say that Mysterio will be out for several months with an arm injury, even though he is actually undergoing knee surgery.

The 619 will be missed in the coming months, but here are some feuds which Rey could enter upon his return.

The Miz and R-Truth

Mysterio has had his dealings with both of the members of "The Awesome Truth" over the past few months.

First, Rey had to deal with R-Truth when Truth included him in the conspiracy and savagely beat him on an episode of RAW. Truth then defeated him at the Over The Limit pay-per-view.

Then in August, after Miz lost to Mysterio for the WWE Championship, Miz beat on Rey right before they were supposed to have a match.

With Miz and Truth teamed up now, I could definitely see them picking on Rey when he makes his return, or I could even see Rey looking for payback.

Sin Cara

Sin Cara and Mysterio haven't had any interactions to this point, but when Rey returns, we will most likely be getting ready for the road to WrestleMania XXVIII.

As long as the character of Sin Cara does not get completely cut off by the WWE, I think we'd all love to see a mask versus mask rivalry that culminates at WrestleMania.  

CM Punk

I don't see this feud happening again, but it is definitely a possibility. 

These two have had their rivalries in the past, and if CM Punk continues down this path of being the new face of the company, he will have many challengers, and Mysterio could definitely be one of them.

Alberto Del Rio

This, I believe, is the most likely scenario for Rey when he comes back from his injury.

Alberto Del Rio was the one who "injured" him and caused him to be out for the next few months. It would make sense that Rey would want payback and come after Del Rio once he returns. 

I also doubt that Del Rio will be champion when Mysterio returns, and a feud between these two could distract the Mexican aristocrat from the title picture.
