College Football Pick'em Week 11 Results

Dumont WalkerNov 13, 2008

I warned everyone last week, that I would be back and better than ever. In the latest edition of our College Football Pick’em pool, I did exactly that. Great week picking games on my end. Now all I need is someone to knock off Texas Tech and I will be a happy man. With that being said, let’s take a look at how well I did last week in the College Football Pick’em pool.

Tech 56 vs. 20: Alright, Alright Texas Tech is a good team. That’s two weeks in a row I’ve bet against them and both times they have burnt me. I’m begging to think I may be their lucky charm. The Red Raiders came into the game a three point favorite and obviously that was not a problem. I’m pretty sure they covered the over as well.

27 vs. LSU 21: I may have been a tad overzealous with this one. was a three point favorite, and I thought they could thump LSU pretty good. Well, it took overtime and one helluva fight to come out of the swamp with the victory, but did it, and in doing so they won the SEC West. Most importantly covered the three point spread.

13 vs. TCU 10: So very close, but at the end of the day, TCU just did not have enough in the tank. TCU already ended one mid-major’s BCS crashing party when they knocked off BYU about a month ago. Thursday night they attempted to go two for two. However, stood strong and knocked TCU and kept their BCS hopes alive (sitting at No. 8 right now). Unfortunately for me, also covered the three point spread and gave me the lost for the week.

UNC 28 vs. Tech 7: The Tar Heels have something special with Butch Davis coaching their team, now they just need to make sure they can keep him around for the long haul. However, on immediate measures, UNC got the big win over Georgia Tech, keeping their ACC title hopes alive. The Tar Heels also covered the four point spread with ease and got the win.

USC 17 vs. 3: USC appeared to have hit another stumbling block against the Cal Bears on Saturday night. Once again, USC’s offense struggled to do much of anything. When I originally posted the spread for this game was down, but I said take USC as long as the spread did not go over USC plus 14. Well, well, well look who landed on 14. Chalk another one up for the good guys.

26 WVU 23: Another week and another mediocre team take the reigns in the Big East. This time the Cincinnati Bearcats will do the honors. was playing improved football, and they were a seven point favorite coming into the game; however I just had an itching suspicion about the Bearcats after watching them the previous week. I was not sure they could win the game, but I thought they could cover the spread. I guess it much have been my birthday, because covered the spread and got the win, I can live with that.
