Mick's kids said they didn't want to go to TNA's Bound for Glory PPV and would rather go to a WWE house show being held in the same area instead.
When TNA's "biggest show" of the year is not even interesting to them and would rather see a regular WWE house show, you know there are problems with the TNA TV product.
Yes, it is just their opinion, and many differ, but to Mick, it painted a picture that it was time to get out of there, and he is doing just that.
Kudos to Mick for jumping off the Titanic in Florida, while there is still a "little" time left in his career.
Now that it is all but set in stone that Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy is returning, let's take a quick look at his options when and if he returns.
He could be the voice of WWE. What I mean by that is very simple. He could do autograph signings, video game appearances, on-sale ticket dates, legends' round tables and host WWE 24/7 specials.
Basically, he would travel the world as he spoke well of WWE and represented them. It would be a fancy "Legend's Deal" so many stars sign.
He could return to wrestling, but doing so part-time is his only option at this point. Mick even joked he was in the process of dropping 50 pounds, in case he got a Wrestle Mania phone call next year.
Honestly, I would only be for this if he can still go and is willing to lose. Honestly, he has never been one to want to go over, so that is not the issue. The issue is if he can drop weight and perform at a high level.
If not? I don't want to see him wrestle again.
He could also be a TV commentator. I know he left in 2008 because he was sick of Vince McMahon screaming in his earpiece during every Smackdown show he called, but guess what?
Triple H now produces Cole/Lawler/Booker, so I would assume he would give Mick a little bit more leeway than Vince ever did.
He could be the Raw/Smackdown GM. Honestly, this is likely the only other option he has. I could easily see him being the Mystery Raw general manager, then starting a little power struggle with Triple H and Steph.
Yes, it is a rehash of 2000, but if Mick comes back, he needs mic time, as that has always been his strong suit.
What do folks think? With Foley saying he "probably will" return to WWE, what role does he fit in 2011's WWE product?
