Auburn Fans Show Their Love for the Coaches Trophy
Well this iconic photo is one for the ages. One for all the Alabama fans who got plastered with the turd bombs hurled by the BR Auburn fan base in 2010 when the Crimson Tide claimed the 2009 National Title and the Coaches Trophy showed up at the Tuscaloosa Walmart.
Take my word for it, I am being kind by using this particular photo of one of the Auburn BR featured writers! There were plenty of others to choose from but I harnessed the reigns and played fair. All's fair in love and war, and for sure, the Alabama vs. Aubrun rivalry is an all out war. And editors, that's not a misprint! Leave the spelling alone. It is out of respect, not disrespect that the war goes on!
All-barn proved in 2010 that they are a worthy opponent. They claimed the National Title after more than a half-century of waiting and watching big brother take all the honors in the state and on the national stage. The Auburn football program showed dominance in-state during the early part of the 21st Century, withstood a 36-0 scourging and came back from a 24-0 deficit to win a title of their own.
In the long run, the ploy was well-played, the payout to players and fathers contributing their skills to the Auburn football program will take years to uncover! Auburn can savor this victory longer than the USC fan base could boast in their coronation with Reggie Bush in the backfield.
All the insults hurled out of envy, F-bombs launched in direction of Tuscaloosa and money spent trying to shut down the Alabama program coming from "the little sister on the plains," was paid out on the display floor at Walmart in Opelika, Alabama. And man alive, it was a site to behold. The lines weren't that long but the photos obtained will last a lifetime. Congratulations, Auburn. The championship is well deserved.
Well, it's August and fall camp is just about over. A whole season will play out before our very eyes on the biggest stage in sports-College Football. The games on CBS, ESPN, CSS, SEC Network and any other television station that can shell out enough money will be broadcast throughout the season, leading up to the greatest and most intense rivalry in the entire sport; Alabama versus Auburn Football.
Strap in fans, here we go! And let's do our best to keep it respectable! Roll Tide and War Eagle. It's football season, once again!
