Daily Market Wrap Up
Moving Today's Market. The NBA is dominating the betting market as most of the teams are in action tonight. After a one-point loss to the Celtics on Wednesday night, the Hawks are getting a significant amount of action as they visit the New Jersey Nets. Atlanta is receiving 92 percent of the spread wagers, and the line at Pinnacle opened at -2.5 and has since climbed to -3.5. Even some sportsbooks, monitored by Sports Insights, have moved the line all the way to -4.5. The enormous support for Atlanta has led to two Smart Money alerts on the Nets by BetOnline (+8.50 units) and ThePig (+1.80 units). Nets guard Devin Harris is expected back in the lineup after sitting out Wednesday's game with an ankle injury. The Kings are also grabbing attention in the betting market as they host the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix opened at -6.5 but has since moved to -3.5. The line has gradually decreased since news was reported Suns guard Steve Nash was missing tonight's game to serve his one-game suspension. There have been three Smart Money plays triggered on the Kings by Carib Sports (+5.10 units), Pinnacle (+1.69 units) and ThePig (+1.80 units). They also received two Steam Move alerts at BetOnline (+0.50 units) and Bodog (+1.70 units). In college football, Cincinnati travels to Louisville to improve their chances at a BCS berth. After coming off an overtime win against West Virginia last Saturday, Cincinnati opened at -4 with Pinnacle, but moved to -3.5 despite the public laying 64 percent of the spread wagers on the Bearcats. This is a perfect indication of Smart Money play on Louisville. Four of those plays were triggered including one at ThePig (+3.40 units), CRIS (+2.00 units) and 5Dimes (+5.86 units).
