With Jayson Tatum sidelined, Celtics' fourth-quarter comeback falls short in Game 7 loss to 76ers

I decided not to review last week's Impact because outside of the X-Div. Battle Royal, I would have more then likely let my emotions get the best of me and overreacted to the situation, so I decided to take a break, catch up on some old Chikara and New Japan DVD's, and come back next week with my take on the latest spoilers and my TNA reviews.

That being said I am interested to see where this Crimson/Angle feud goes and to see how TNA is going to build Samoa Joe back up after knocking him down. So without further ado, here are the spoilers.

Kurt Angle opens the show in the ring calling out Crimson. They announce a match later tonight between the two of them. Angle tells him he is going to end his undefeated streak tonight. Crimson says he wants Angle to respect him, and he will earn his respect tonight.

AbyssBully RayGunnerJeff JarrettKaren Jarrett and Scott Steiner come out, and Ray puts over Crimson to Angle. Kurt tells Ray to let him handle it himself, and if anyone in Immortal gets involved there's going to be a problem.

JackieODB & Velvet Sky defeat Angelina LoveRosita & Sarita w/Hernandez.

Kid Kash defeats Jesse Sorensen.

Rob Van Dam beat "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero in a Bound for Glory Series Match. Samoa Joe beats down Dinero after the match; Devon makes the save.

Hogan and Flair call Sting out to the ring. Hogan wants a truce with Sting, but Flair says no. Sting says he will go through Flair, and he's thinking Bound For Glory for him and Hogan.

AJ Styles comes out and calls out Christopher Daniels. Daniels wants a match at No Surrender. Styles says he's going to be in the Bound For Glory Series Finals at the pay-per-view, so they'll do it next week on Impact.

Bully RayGunner & Scott Steiner defeat AJ Styles & Beer Money in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.

After the match, Mr. Anderson came out to ringside and took out Immortal.

Crimson beat TNA Champion Kurt Angle via DQ. Samoa Joe ran out and caused the disqualification.

Those were the spoilers, now it's time for my thoughts.

First I'll say that I like how they're building the Anderson/Immortal feud. Personally, I don't think he should have ever been in it, but it does move things forward.

Second, I like how they built Crimson up but didn't let him get a clean win on Angle; that's exactly how it should be. What a lot of the older guys don't get  is that they should be there to build up younger talents like Crimson.

Finally, I like the direction they're taking the X-Division in. Now I know a few weeks back I criticized TNA for giving it a weight limit, but the more I think about it the more I realize that I was wrong, and most of you who commented on that article were right; it is a good thing.

Now on to a few things I don't like.

Why do we have to have some match with a random stipulation every week? Immortal vs AJ and Beer Money would be a fine match; why do we have to put a dumb stipulation on it? Stipulations should be saved for PPV's and used sparingly so that you build up they're meaning and value.

This just ties into one of my biggest complaints with TNA right now, which is they don't do their fans right. Last week we had a tag match where the titles changed hands. This would have been all fine and good if not for one problem, you just had your fans pay 35 dollars to see the same match two weeks prior. They have titles change hands and random stipulations on TV so much that it makes me wonder why I buy the PPV's if they only going to have the same match a week later.

Another thing I dislike is this whole Devon/Pope feud, friendship....thing. Pope last year was in the main event; now he's gone from a meaningless feud with Samoa Joe to one of the strangest feuds on TV right now, and that's not a compliment.

How is this beneficial to Pope's career?

How does this build him to be a top draw?

It's just not a good feud in my opinion and does nothing for either man.

Finally we get to the 9001 pound elephant in the room, Sting vs Hogan at Bound For Glory, BROTHER!

And not only that, we get Sting vs Flair first, more then likely at No Surrender.....oh goody.

I'm sorry if I'm being to critical here, but why do we have to constantly relive '98 WCW and '99 ECW?

Flair vs Sting, Sting vs Hogan, Jerry Lynn vs RVD, give me a break. This should be about putting over a guy like Crimson and the BFG series, but instead the focus is on a match that quite frankly I think could ruin a very promising PPV by itself.

I don't watch TNA for the Hogans and the Stings; I watch it for the Samoa Joes, the AJ Styles, the Christopher Daniels, and the young guys that should be main eventing the company and carrying it into the next generation, not guys that don't know when to hang it up.

Other then that, I'm indifferent on it as a whole. AJ/Daniels may feud again, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it I guess.

Kid Kash is solidified as a heel, yet again.

Jeff Hardy's coming back soon; I hope he shows up in the condition to wrestle and doesn't cost TNA anymore money; they can't afford another Victory Road. Personally I don't think they should bring him back. They have plenty of top names, and they don't need a guy that's that big of a liability. Add to that the fact that his brother just got fired and I see stormy weather ahead.

I will say this though, Jeff Hardy can draw the 16-18 year old female demographic, and he's an ok worker if you like that style (he's not even a top 5 TNA high-flyer in my opinion, let alone a top wrestler), so that's something I guess. I just feel he's more trouble then he's worth (Don't Do Drugs Kids).

So those were the spoilers, and those were my thoughts. Please comment bellow and tell me what you think and whether my take on the spoilers was right or wrong. I always like to have intelligent conversations with other wrestling fans.

See You, Space Cowboy...
