UFC 139 Preview: Cain Velasquez Talks Fedor, Fight with JDS, and More

In this exclusive full interview from Bleacher Report, UFC champ Cain Velasquez opens up about his training regiment, the future of Alistair Overeem, his focus on Junior dos Santos, Jon Jones moving up to the heavyweight division, his favorite fighter and he reflects on the joy of being a father and his Hispanic heritage.

Boasting an undefeated record, Cain is coming off a shoulder injury that sidelined him for a while, but when B/R caught up with him, he was in high spirits about the injury.

“I just got the go ahead to train 100 percent,” said Velasquez. “It feels good, I’m happy with everything I did as far as recovery.” He gives a slight smile, “It feels good…I can’t wait to get back in there.”

Important words for a fighter who will defend his championship belt against aggressive Brazilian striker Junior dos Santos at UFC 139 on November 19, 2011.
