Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Now for some bad news.
Stephen Cooper tore both of his biceps in the Dallas game. He will have to have surgery on them and could miss the rest of the season. Cooper was recently re-signed to add depth at linebacker.
The game in Dallas might be the last time he puts on a Chargers jersey. San Diego might look for another veteran linebacker to fill his spot. If Cooper is not out for the season, it would be about 2-to-3 months before he would return to the Chargers.
Another injury happened in the Cowboy game. This one isn't too serious.
Malcom Floyd sustained a concussion after making a leaping catch. While coming down, his arms were wrapped around his side and his head hit the ground straight on.
In the last couple of days, San Diego can already see progress in him and expect him to be fine. He probably will not play in the next preseason game in Arizona but could be back for the finale against San Francisco.
Rookie Vincent Brown is back at practice and plans to be ready for the next game.
On a brighter note, the legendary Junior Seau will be inducted into the San Diego Chargers Hall of Fame. He will be the 35th inductee. That ceremony will occur at the Denver Broncos game on November 27th.
Seau played on the Chargers from 1990-2002 as a linebacker. He won the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1990.
