WWE SmackDown! Preview: Extreme Times Call For Extreme Measures

What can be said about last week's ending to FNS? Unbelievable! If the WWE needed a wake up call, they sure got it last week on SmackDown! But can they continue the anarchy tonight when SmackDown! hits the airwaves?

The Game Gets His Next Level Upgrade

Triple H has been on fire since winning the WWE Championship at Backlash. But the King of Kings has not had an easy road in keeping that championship. From the Unholy Union between Edge, Vickie and Alicia Fox to the Championship Scramble to the countless epic battles with Jeff Hardy, Triple H has done it all and beaten them all...that is, until now.

Via the stipulaiton of last week, Vladimir Kozlov will officially face Triple H for the WWE Championship at Survivor Series. Kozlov is still undefeated thanks to Hardy's interference from last week. But the Moscow Mauler has never faced someone like The Undertaker or Triple H. When the lights are on bright and everything is on the line, Triple H can perform with the best of them.

How will the Mauler and The Game try to one-up each other on a night where everything is possible?

Divas Collide

The Divas Champion has faced some pretty tough cookies. But tonight on SmackDown! Michelle McCool will face her most unpredictable challenge to date as she faces Maria. But with so many Divas coming out of nowhere to challenge her for the gold, how will Michelle continue her dominance against a woman with a very big insurance policy in Festus?

Phenom and Enigma Go to The Extreme

After his altercation last week, Jeff Hardy wants to do what Kozlov couldn't do: Destroy the Undertaker. After losing it last week during his tag team match with Triple H against The Dirt Sheet and playing home run derby with Kozlov and Taker, Jeff Hardy will face the Undertaker in an Extreme Rules Match tonight.

Taker and Hardy have not faced each other since their epic ladder match six years ago. If it's anything like that battle, expect severe fireworks tonight when the Deadman and the Enigma square off tonight with tons of extreme toys added to their epic encounter. I don't know what's gotten into Jeff Hardy...but I like what he's doing so far.

But there's always got to be a good subplot with every change in the power struggle. As known last week, Undertaker will face Big Show at Survivor Series in a Casket Match. What will the Big Show do to keep the pressure on the Deadman? What role will he play in the outcome of tonight's Extreme Rules Match? And where will Jeff Hardy strike next if he comes up short against Undertaker tonight?
