I Am Sorry, But I Don't Know How To Write In English!
I usually don't write in English. I simply suck at it. Every time I want to put ideas together, I fail.
I came to this country about five years ago to play a three months soccer tournament and I ended up going to school, playing college soccer, getting married and having a baby (not me, my wife). And I also ended up with a new language, a new voice in my head.
The first year that I spent in the US I was only able to have basic conversations with people. Just enough to let them know that I was not mute, retarded or a creep who just stared at people while they were talking. People wanted to talk to me and learn more about my country and my culture, but I had a hard time trying to express myself. I just didn't know enough words.

(Besides, I always felt that by opening my mouth everybody in the room had to take an extra minute to try to figure out what the hell I was trying to say).
Within a few years I got better at it. Today, at least I don't feel like people need to take that extra minute. However, I still have problems when it comes to writing. In fact, I am so insecure of the way I write in English that I don't even know if what I just wrote makes any sense at all. Weird. Do I have an accent when I type? Did I misspelled too many words?. If that is the case that validates the title of this article/post.
Anyway, my original point was that I have to write about soccer, but since I can't do it well in English, I have to do it in my native language, Spanish.
So, if you visit this blog or my blog http://www.mlsenespanol.net, don't feel bad or think that I do this on purpose because I am trying to discriminate people who can not read in Spanish. I wouldn't do that. I am not a jerk.
Man, I wish I could be better at it!
