Raiders vs 49ers Fan Brawl: Watch Crazed Fans Duke It Out in Candlestick Park

The San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders are not going to be good this NFL season, which is why the incident that happened in the stands at Candlestick Park on Saturday night will likely be the only time this season that we really hear about the goings on by the bay.

Oakland fans are notorious for their attitude and the way that they conduct themselves towards fans of opposing teams when they are playing in "The Black Hole" but this entire incident is unprecedented even for Raider fans.

San Francisco has a devoted fan base but they are usually very low key and respectful of other people. But when you put the two Bay Area rivals against each other tempers flare and we get incidents like the one we saw on Saturday night.

It is unclear what exactly led these two men to blows. I would like to believe that it was more than just wearing different colored jerseys, but given how serious people treat sports it wouldn't be a shock if that was the only problem that these two men had with each other.

I did get some amusement out of the fact that the 49ers fans were trying to stop the guy who was wearing the 49ers jersey, while the Oakland fans just let the guy wearing the Raiders jersey go until there was a winner.

There is something going on with California fans, because this is the second serious fan incident that has happened in the last four months. Brian Stow, the Giants fan who was beaten outside of Dodgers Stadium, is finally starting to get better following an attack from Dodgers fans after a game between those two teams.

I can understand the NFL wanting to get something done to prevent these kinds of things from happening at their games, but ultimately the responsibility falls on the fans.

If you are so insanely passionate about a sports team that you are willing to harm another human being, it's time that you re-examine your priorities.
