Miami Dolphins Doomed by Lack of Reliable Quarterback Once Again
The Miami Dolphins find themselves 2-0 after a pair of preseason games against the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers, but fans shouldn't get too excited given the fact either Chad Henne or Matt Moore will be lined up under center.
It's embarrassing and rather mind-boggling to understand the logic that has gone into the quarterback conundrum in Miami.
Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland has a team on the brink of making some noise in the AFC given the stout defense and potent offensive weapons, but—as many of you know—this is a quarterback-driven league and the Dolphins frankly have a glaring weakness in that department.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Henne had the innate ability to make Brandon Marshall just an average NFL receiver last year and Marshall was very vocal in this regard. The logical choice would have been to go after a quarterback once free agency began.
Well, they did. Sort of.
The Dolphins acquired Moore from Carolina, which in my opinion could go down as the worst move of the offseason given the availability of Kyle Orton for a draft pick in Denver.
How anyone can fathom not spending a second-round pick for a season veteran quarterback in Orton is beyond me.
Other options were available with the likes of Vince Young, but the Dolphins decided to stay put.
Unfortunately, head coach Tony Sparano's bunch will be a five- or six-win team with 11-win talent—kind of like that cute girl in class that could be way hotter if she knew how to dress. And the Dolphins will play themselves out of the Andrew Luck and Matt Barkley race by placing themselves in the six to 10 slot of picks for next year's draft.
This has been the most demoralizing offseason in recent memory for Dolphins fans given the availability of good quarterbacks paired with lack of greatness in their own backfield.
The Dolphins are a thoroughly solid team, but it's tough to take them seriously when they're being led into battle behind a Henne and a career backup.
