WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: A Guide to Last Week's Raw and Remaining Questions
Ladies and Gentlemen, after what seemed to be a very quick week, Monday is here again. For some that means the weekend is over, it means that you woke up early for work this morning and that you are probably in a bad mood.
However, wrestling fans like me I can look forward to tuning into Monday Night Raw at 9:00 pm. Last week's Raw was one that was surrounded with a lot of questions that fans wanted answered. However the WWE did what it does best and gave the fans 10 or so additional questions to the 20 or so they already had in their head.
Many fans, myself included, are hoping that a few questions are answered tonight. This slideshow will breakdown last week's Raw, and will take a look to what the fans want to see happen tonight.
Will John Cena Challenge Alberto Del Rio for the WWE Title at the Next PPV?
1 of 8Monday Night Raw went almost an entire two hours without showing John Cena on camera last week. He came out at the end of the program to save Rey Mysterio from an attack at the hands of Alberto Del Rio.
Cena cut a promo calling out Alberto Del Rio and telling him that he had a target on his back and that he would be taking back the WWE Title very soon.
The question here is how will this issue be addressed tonight? Will John Cena be thrust into the title scene once again? CM Punk should technically have the first shot at a rematch but we all know WWE Creative will find a way to work around this.
What would you like to see happen with the current title picture?
What Will Happen with the United States Title Picture?
2 of 8Alex Riley has continued to gain popularity and has been on a roll. The relationship between United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero seems to be going down real fast.
I am curious to see how this feud will continue. I can almost see a scenario where Vickie screws Ziggler and helps Riley to win the title only to have her new associate Jack Swagger enter the picture.
I would think the self proclaimed "All-American American" would want the hold on the United States Championship.
What can you see happening with the current United States title picture?
What's Up with the Commentary Situation on Raw?
3 of 8Michael Cole really contributes nothing to Monday Night Raw. He does a horrible job portraying his "role" as a heel. His pot shots at J.R. fall flat and he fails to realize that fans love J.R. and hate him.
Last week during the match involving Alex Riley and Jack Swagger, the banter involving Ziggler, Vickie, Cole and King was really annoying and distracting to J.R.
As a former pro football announcer, J.R. takes things 100 percent seriously.
I hope Michael Cole leaves Raw soon because he absolutely makes me want to mute Raw whenever he utters a word.
What Is Going To Happen with John Morrison?
4 of 8John Morrison is in hot water with WWE. His real-life girlfriend and former valet Melina accompanied Jomo on the road last week. WWE officials were not happy and it would make sense that Morrison had lost all of his matches since returning to Raw.
Will WWE make an effective use out of John Morrison or will he be packing his bags shortly just like Melina was forced too?
Morrison is a former Intercontinental Champion who never has been given a major title run. Many feel that he could be a great world champion due to his work ethic and athleticism. Will Morrison receive a good push soon or will he continue to feud endlessly with R-Truth?
Will The Miz Continue To Be Jobbed?
5 of 8There has been nothing awesome about The Miz as of late. He was thrown into a match last minute at SummerSlam, he was selling sandwiches on Raw and he has teamed up with R-Truth for no apparent reason at all.
It is hard to believe that a few short months ago The Miz was the WWE Champion. It may sound crazy but this slide and the slide before it could somehow be linked. Could pairing Miz up with John Morrison again benefit the two superstars?
WWE is looking to bolster its tag team division, so it couldn't hurt could it?
Will Tag Team Matches Continue to Be Promoted on Raw?
6 of 8Last week, Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne were involved in a great tag team match with the tag team champions David Otunga and Michael Mcgillicutty.
It had a lot of good spots and was paced well. The fans were entertained and it made fans wonder if the tag team division is on the rise again.
With great tag teams like the Kings of Wrestling in WWE's system, many fans are hoping that the tag team division is once again becoming relevant.
I am interested to see if a tag team match is given significant time tonight. What do you think about the way WWE is attempting to promote its tag team division on Raw?
Who Sent the Text Message to Kevin Nash?
7 of 8Kevin Nash returned to Monday Night Raw for the first time in years last week. Many people were eagerly awaiting what the big man had to say.
He entered in a rather subdued fashion with no titantron or entrance music. Many of the younger fans had no idea who he was and were puzzled by his promo with CM Punk.
He made a lot of references to WCW and how things used to be done. It was a bit over the heads of some fans so his promo wasn't as effective as it could have been.
This week the fans are hoping to get a little more insight to who sent the text message.
According to Nash,
""When a friend of mine texts me to do something, I don't ask questions. I was told to stick the winner and it was just business Punk."
"
Punk's retort was comical for some fans as it made sense.
""If your friend told you to jump off a bridge would you do it.... because I think it would be good for business..."
"
Obviously this feud has some tension and is just building but how will WWE spin this angle tonight?
