WWE RAW: 7 Things That Need To Happen Monday Night
A lot happened on RAW last Monday in the fallout of SummerSlam.
We saw development in the CM Punk "screwjob" dilemma involving Kevin Nash, The Miz chowing down on a Subway sandwich and Alberto Del Rio successfully defend his WWE Championship for the first time.
It was a busy Monday night, and here are some things that need to happen this week on RAW.
Further Explanation into the CM Punk "Screwjob"
1 of 8Last week on RAW, we had HHH say how he knew nothing about Kevin Nash entering the ring at SummerSlam and Nash say the exact opposite, that HHH told him to take CM Punk out at SummerSlam.
We had a nonphysical confrontation between the two last week, and we were left without all the answers when the show ended.
On Monday, we need to learn more about the truth of what really happened and I think we would all love to see a face to face confrontation between Nash and Punk. The guards may come into play again, but I think Punk won't stand for the guards two weeks in a row.
Another Confrontation Between Morrison and Truth
2 of 8John Morrison and R-Truth participated in a Falls Count Anywhere Match last Monday, which ended with a Morrison win after giving Truth a knee to the head.
Morrison finally got his win over Truth, but this feud is far from over. Whether they have a match, a heated promo in the ring or a brawl backstage, we need to see a confrontation between the two of them.
This rivalry is great, and it looks like we're headed to a pay-per-view match between the two in the near future.
Phoenix and Kelly
3 of 8Hopefully this is short and sweet, but in order to keep the Divas division headed in the right direction, there needs to be some kind of a physical confrontation between Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix.
The Glamazon is bound to get a rematch at Night of Champions and we need to see something more from her this week in order to keep this rivalry heated.
A Move from the Miz
4 of 8The Miz said that he was going to make a huge impact at SummerSlam.
All he did was participate in a tag team match.
Last week, his big moment was taking a Subway sandwich from Subway's Jared, and then proceeding to eat it in the middle of the ring.
Miz may be awesome, but if he wants to be a bigger part of the show he needs to start making more of an impact. He was making noise when he beat up Mysterio before SummerSlam, and we need more of that from him in order for him to stay hot.
Swagger Continuing His Pursuance of Vickie
5 of 8After Jack Swagger won his first match in... forever last Monday, he had a little chat with Vickie Guerrero backstage about her current state as a manager.
Swagger seems to be interested in Vickie's services and when he asked her about it, she did not seem to be too against it.
Whether Vickie leaves Dolph Ziggler for Swagger, accepts both of them as her clients or completely rejects Swagger, we need to see The All American American pursue Vickie yet again so we can see what she has to say.
The Tag Team Championship
6 of 8Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne defeated Michael McGillicutty and David Otunga in a non-championship match. It was a good match and it looks like the future of the World Tag Team Championship could finally be heading in the right direction.
Whether Kofi and Evan or another duo challenge the champions this week, it needs to happen. The former New Nexus team needs to drop the belts so the championship can move on to bigger and better things.
Super Cena to the Rescue
7 of 8When Alberto Del Rio successfully defended his WWE Championship against Rey Mysterio at the end of last week's show, he followed to excessively beat up "the little chihuahua."
Enter Super Cena. John Cena came flying into the ring, saved Mysterio, and then went on a furious rant about how angry he was about being screwed at SummerSlam and Del Rio winning the championship with his briefcase.
Now that we know how Cena is feeling, it would seem that his feud with Del Rio is about to begin. On Monday night we need to see a continuance of Cena's fury directed towards the new champion. If this happens, we can look forward to a Cena vs. Del Rio match at Night of Champions, with Punk distracted by HHH and Kevin Nash for the time being.
Conclusion
8 of 8It's a short four weeks until Night of Champions, and tomorrow night is just the start of all that. Hopefully we see all of the things that I listed here and much more!
Enjoy the picture of AJ and remember to stay awesome.
