WWE Rumor: Undertaker vs. Mark Henry at WrestleMania 28?

Yes, this is another Mark Henry column.

No, the title is not a typo.

This report came out about a month ago, and I dismissed it, like most would. However, as stories have progressed, maybe there is some truth here?

For those wondering, the rumor is that Mark Henry's big push will last until next spring, until The Undertaker returns and defeats him at Wrestle Mania in Miami.

A few problems with this:

1. We saw this at Wrestle Mania 22 in Chicago. I know rematches happen, but this is one that does not scream "Wrestle Mania" worthy.

2. Taker only has a few matches left in his career. Is it really smart to put him in there with Henry right now? Probably not.

3. I am a huge Henry fan, but even I do not want to see him challenge Taker's streak (again). He won't win, so why even try to tease us...

After weighing all the cons to this, there are backup plans.

For instance, if WWE really wants The Dead Man to return and beat Henry, why not do it in the upcoming months? Survivor Series at Madison Square Garden, perhaps?

Give Taker a test run in the Fall to see how healthy he is, before his big Mania 20-0 match (whoever he faces—HHH, Del Rio, Sheamus).

Again, as big of a Mark Henry fan as I am, I don't think WWE will give us Taker/Henry at WM28.

That's right! I will go against the rumor and (not so) boldly predict Undertaker will not face Mark Henry at next year's Wrestle Mania.
