NFL Suicide-Pool Pick: Week 11

For Week 10, we selected the Arizona Cardinals as our suicide pool pick. If not for a complete meltdown by OC Mike Martz and the 49ers in the last 20 seconds of the game, we might have been eliminated. Instead, the Cardinals held on for the 29-24 victory.

For Week 11, our choice is the Miami Dolphins. A surprise team to this point, with four more victories already than they had all of last season, the Dolphins face the hapless Raiders in South Beach on Sunday.

After watching Oakland put up six points over the past two weeks, you kind of get the impression that the only way the Fins can lose this game is if the offense decides to not show up for the game...literally.

Here's how Pro Football 101 see this one playing out.

Offensively, look for an emphasis on the ground with Brown and Williams as the Raiders are one of the worst in the league at stopping the run. They're actually quite good vs. the pass so look for Pennington to play a smart, ball control offense and keep his TE Fasano involved a lot in this one.

Defensively, we like the Dolphins to take away Fargas and Oakland's running game and then send LB Porter and the rest of the front seven after the QB, resulting in lots of sacks and a few turnovers. Don't expect much from the Raiders' offense and that's why we see Miami romping in an easy win and you advancing to Week 12 of your suicide pool.
