Fresh Backstage WWE Rumors 👊

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
First, some good news for WWE and Summerslam. The opening with Triple H and Del Rio opened up with a 3.73 rating, its highest point during the show. That obviously showed many people wanted to see the fallout from Summerslam and/or Kevin Nash/Del Rio news.
Then the number took a tumble, and R-Truth vs. Morrison lost over 800,000 viewers in the next segment. Usually the second segment loses viewers, but not that many! Ouch...
The Miz shelling Subway GAINED viewers back into the program (about 225,000 viewers), so all the complaining about that will fall on deaf ears.
The Kelly Kelly/Eve vs. Bella Twins match then lost about 50,000 over those viewers. That is about what you would expect when you go from Subway to hot divas.
Kevin Nash and Punk's promo at the top of the hour gained oer 550,000 viewers. That is usually the case at the top of the second hour, so no big surprise there...
Sadly, that is where the show took a steep decline and never recovered. Swagger/Riley lost over 600,000 viewers, and Kofi/Evan vs. the tag team champions lost another 400,000 viewers right after that.
Clearly, the audience has no reason to care about any of them right now, and that is such a shame.
Finally, the main event between Rey and Del Rio for the WWE championship! It gained back over 700,000 viewers to close the show at a 3.41 rating.
To sum it all up, the show started with a 3.73 and ended with a 3.41. Never good news to lose viewers throughout the show, but the numbers did seem to peak for the major angles, so the interest is there, but not for much else...
