Fantasy Football Week 11 Rankings: Wide Receivers

Michael WhooleyNov 12, 2008

While the bye weeks have come and go, don't think you can now get away with just plugging your big names into your line-ups. After all, many big names, like Plaxico Burress, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and more, are struggling. So, to make sure you start your best wide outs, take a look at Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 11 Wide Receiver Rankings.

--------------------

1. Brandon Marshall (Denver Broncos) @ Atlanta

After a touchdown drought Marshall scored the game winning touchdown for the Broncos in Week 10. That should be just what Marshall needed to find his stride and have a big second half of the season. Plus, it helps that Denver will be forced to pass due to the lack of run game and Atlanta has trouble defending physical wide receivers (see Marques Colston).
Point Projection: 17 points

--------------------

2. Anquan Boldin (Arizona Cardinals) @ Seattle

Boldin leads all NFL receivers with 10 receiving touchdowns in just seven games. Last week against the 49ers he went for two touchdowns and one of them was a game winner halfway into the fourth quarter. Week in and week out the Seahawks can't defend the pass so you better believe Kurt Warner & Co. will be firing away in the Pacific Northwest.
Point Projection: 16 points

--------------------

3. Roddy White (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Denver

There hasn't been a wide receiver in football as steady and productive as White this year. He has scored at least nine fantasy points in six of his last seven games and should have no problem adding to that total against a Broncos pass defense that looks to be without shutdown cornerback Champ Bailey for the third straight game.
Point Projection : 16 points

--------------------

4. Steve Smith (Carolina Panthers) vs. Detroit

Projected to post 16+ fantasy points in Week 10 Smith finished with zero. The poor play of quarterback Jake Delhomme led to Smith having just one reception for nine receiving yards and bitter fantasy owners across the world. If you think Smith will post another stinker in Week 11 get a clue. The Lions can't stop anyone and have allowed 15 passing touchdowns in nine games, making us a believer in Smith.
Point Projection; 16 points

-------------------

5. Reggie Wayne (Indianapolis Colts) vs. Houston  **Check Status**

Wayne broke out in a big way last week going for 114 receiving yards and a touchdown. However, his 65 yard touchdown reception did come on a a pass that should have been intercepted. Heading into Week 11 the veteran wide out is nursing an ankle injury but the Colts expect him to play on Sunday. We will keep you posted as more information becomes available but look for Wayne to be his typical self.
Point Projection: 16 points

-------------------

6. Hines Ward (Pittsburgh Steelers) vs.San Diego

Let's see, the Chargers can't stop the pass, they allow 26 receptions per game to the wide receiver position, and Big Ben is expected to play. He had nine receptions for 116 receiving yards last week and should flirt with 100 yards this week. On top of that we like his touchdown chances.
Point Projection: 15 points

--------------------

7. Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals) @ Seattle

Fitzgerald is just about a lock to score double-digit fantasy points each week but his owners have to be frustrated with Anquan Boldin turning into the touchdown machine in Arizona. Still, the Seahawks rank 31st in pass defense and there should be enough footballs thrown around for Fitz to find paydirt.
Point Projection: 14 points
