WWE: My Friday Night Smackdown (August 19)

Hello, bleachers and fans, welcome to another edition of My Friday Night Smackdown.

Before I begin, let's look at the results of My SummerSlam.

Kelly Kelly won the six-diva battle royal and is the new Divas Champion.

The Usos won the Tag Team Championships.

Ezekiel Jackson retained his Intercontinental Championship.

Skip Sheffield defeated Dolph Ziggler to win the United States Championship.

Wade Barrett defeated Randy Orton and retained his World Heavyweight Championship.

Chris Jericho was revealed as the mystery note writer and he defeated the Miz.

CM Punk defeated John Cena and is the new WWE Champion. Triple H is now in charge of the WWE.

What do I have lined up this week for Smackdown?

Opening Segment

Chris Jericho's music hits and he makes his return to Smackdown. Jericho receives a great reaction and grabs a mic.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Y2J is back! Yes, it was I who was writing the Miz all of those letters. I figured that if I returned to the WWE, I wanted to have some suspense and fun while doing it. I did it all at the expense of the Miz, who was struggling at the time. Now, my letters actually didn't have much to do with the Miz, I just wanted to make a splash on my return. I came back to the WWE for one reason and one reason only. I came back to..."

The Empire Alliance comes out on the ramp. Regal has a mic and starts to talk.

"Well,  well, well, if it isn't Y2J Chris Jericho himself. Standing here in the flesh in front of all of us. How lucky we all must be. Jericho, you and I have had some history together and we don't see eye to eye. But this time, I want you to take a look at the group of people behind me. The "Celtic Warrior" Sheamus, the Raw MITB winner Drew McIntyre, the new British Champion Skip Sheffield and the World Heavyweight Champion Wade Barrett. You see Chris, this time, I have all the power in the WWE and you can't do anything about it."

Jericho: "Relax, Regal. You act like someone took a wiz in your coffee or something this morning. But Regal, it is a good thing that you came out here tonight because I came back to..."

Regal: "You came back to hog the spotlight and return to your comedic ways."

Jericho: "No, actually I came back to win the World Heavyweight Championship, but with the way this conversation is going, knocking your teeth out might be a close second."

The crowd cheers that but Regal still has more to say.

Regal: "Now, now, hold on a minute. Jericho, it seems that once again Teddy Long is out due to "personal reasons," so I am assuming the command of this show. You will not be fighting me and you will not be fighting the World Heavyweight Champion."

Jericho: "So who am I fighting then? Your uncle Willie? Maybe your Aunt Rose Regal, your grandfather Will "Little Willy" Regal, your mother..."

Regal: "You think you're funny, don't you? Jericho, tonight I was going to put you against Drew McIntyre, but I don't think you deserve to fight a superstar of his caliber. I will put you up against someone else to be determined later."

Regal and the group leave while Jericho shakes a few hands as we fade to commercial.

Match 1: Ezekiel Jackson vs. Brodus Clay

Brodus Clay is out first to some heat.

Ezekiel Jackson is out next to a great reaction.

Jackson and Clay lock up and the two seem evenly matched until Jackson pushes Clay into the corner. Jackson goes for a clothesline, but Clay moves out of the way and hits Jackson with a right hand and goes for a splash. Jackson moves out of the way and hits Clay with a clothesline and then a suplex.

Jackson goes for the pin, but Clay kicks out at two. Jackson puts Clay in a headlock, but Clay fights out of it and hits a clothesline before hitting a splash. Jackson kicks out at two. Clay grabs Jackson and goes for a military press, but Jackson slips off and hits a belly-to-back suplex on Clay. Jackson then hits a clothesline and two slams.

Jackson grabs Clay and puts him in the torture rack. Clay taps out and Jackson wins.

Backstage

"Do you see what you have done to me? I am hideous and now I have no protection to allow my face to heal. You ruined my life and you ruined my career!"

"Look, I don't even see anything wrong with your face, it looks the same as always."

We see that it is Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase talking, and Rhodes slaps DiBiase in the face.

Rhodes: "My face is not the same! It is ruined and so is my career. I will never be the same again!"

DiBiase looks away but Rhodes grabs him and slaps him again. DiBiase is getting very angry and wants to hit Rhodes, but he walks off instead.

Match 2: Drew McIntyre vs. Daniel Bryan

McIntyre is out to nice heat.

Bryan is out next to a nice reaction.

Bryan and McIntyre go for a test of strength, but McIntyre kicks Bryan in the gut and puts him in a side headlock. Bryan throws McIntyre off and hits a clothesline and goes off the ropes. McIntyre gets up and quickly clotheslines Bryan. McIntyre locks in a Boston crab, but Bryan fights out of it and hits a kick to McIntyre's face and then hits a bulldog.

Bryan locks in a surfboard stretch, but McIntyre fights out of it and hits a backbreaker followed by a DDT. McIntyre stomps on Bryan's legs and arms and drags him over to the ring post. McIntyre locks in a figure four on the ring post and breaks the hold at four. McIntyre gets back in the ring and puts Bryan's legs over the ropes. McIntyre then bends them up over the middle rope and puts him in a nice looking leg submission.

Bryan screams in pain and McIntyre breaks it at four. McIntyre goes for the pin but Bryan kicks out. McIntyre goes to lock in a sharpshooter, but Bryan rolls out of it and goes for a Labell lock. McIntyre grabs the ropes and Bryan pulls McIntyre back into the middle of the ring. Bryan goes for another Labell Lock, but McIntyre kicks him off and punches him in the face. McIntyre gets on one knee and hits an uppercut. McIntyre grabs Bryan and hits the Future Shock for the victory.

Match 3: Sheamus vs. Yoshi Tatsu

Sheamus is out first to nice heat.

Yoshi Tatsu comes out to a decent reaction.

The bell rings and Sheamus attacks Tatsu. Sheamus clotheslines him and hits him with a suplex. Sheamus grabs Tatsu and throws him in the corner. Sheamus hits a running clothesline and then a belly to belly. Sheamus hits Tatsu with a powerbomb and then waits for Tatsu to get to his feet. Sheamus hits a Brogue kick and wins the squash match.

Match 4: Rosa Mendes vs. A.J.

A.J. is first out to some cheers.

Rosa Mendes comes out to some cheers as well.

A.J. goes to shake hands with Rosa, but Rosa pulls her hand away. The bell rings and Rosa goes for a clothesline, but A.J. dodges it and hits an elbow. A.J. hits Rosa with two right hands and goes for a bulldog, but Rosa throws her off and hits a bulldog of her own.

Rosa goes for the pin, but A.J. kicks out at two. Rosa pulls A.J.'s hair and goes for a DDT, but A.J. counters and hits her finisher for the victory.

Main Event: Chris Jericho vs. Christian

Chris Jericho is out first to a great reaction.

Christian is out next to a mixed reaction.

Christian and Jericho engage in a test of strength with Jericho coming out on top. Jericho locks in a headlock only for Christian to counter out and lock on a wrist lock. Jericho hits a leg sweep and goes for an elbow drop, but Christian moves and hits one of his own. Christian goes for the early pin with Jericho kicking out at one.

Christian throws Jericho into the corner and goes for a clothesline, but Jericho moves and hits a bulldog. Jericho goes for a Lionsault, but Christian moves out of the way. Christian rebounds and hits a kick to Jericho's face and goes for another pin. Jericho kicks out at two and we continue.

Christian gets up and calls for the Killswitch, but Jericho counters it into a DDT and goes for the pin. Chrsitian kicks out and Jericho goes for the Lionsault and hits it. Jericho pins Christian, but he kicks out at two. Jericho goes for the Walls, Christian reaches the ropes. Jericho runs off the opposite rope and goes for a knee choke, but Christian moves and Jericho misses.

Christian grabs Jericho for the Killwitch, but Jericho counters and goes for the Walls. Jericho locks it in, but Christian reaches the ropes. Jericho pulls Christian back into the ring and goes for the Liontamer, but the Miz comes running down to the ring and interferes. The bell rings and the match ends. Miz beats up on Jericho while Christian recovers. Christian gets up and asks the Miz what he is doing, but Miz pushes Christian away.

Christian then starts to beat up The Miz and now he and Jericho take care of him. Regal comes out and says that "he will not have any chaos on his show" and sends Wade Barrett and Sheamus into the ring to break things up.

Randy Orton's music hits and he comes down to get involved in the melee. The faces throw the heels out of the ring and they stand victorious as we fade out.
