Danica Patrick's Deal Seems to Be Almost Done
Speculation is about to come to an end, as the decision to come to NASCAR appears to have been made by Danica Patrick.
It is being reported by several sources, including FOXsports.com and ESPN.com, that Patrick will move to NASCAR full-time in 2012.
Patrick will run the No. 7 NASCAR Nationwide car for JR Motorsports with a limited Sprint Cup schedule in Stewart-Haas cars next year, and she intends to run full-time in the Cup with them in 2013.
Lee Spencer of FOX Sports indicated that the announcement would be made in Phoenix, the home office for GoDaddy.com, on Wednesday, August 24.
Contracts still have to be finalized, and there was apparently no further information from either JR Motorsports or Stewart-Haas Racing.
No mention has been made concerning Patrick's future attempts to race in the IndyCar series at the Indianapolis 500.
