John Cena vs Boxing Star Manny Pacquiao: Is This Match Really Possible?

According to ringsidereport.com, former WWE champ John Cena was asked his thoughts regarding a match between Manny Pacquiao and himself. The question came from international ABS/CBN News reporter Gretchen Fullido.

This interview happened prior to SummerSlam, during WWE's star-studded anti-bullying event in Los Angeles. Cena spoke candidly about Pacquiao and his feelings toward the boxer, stating:

“I think it would be very quick, and the decision would be obvious. Manny Pacquiao will knock me out in the 1st round. If Manny will enter the WWE, I would have to work a lot on my quickness. He is lightning quick. So just give me a little bit of warning if he decides to (enter the WWE). I have a lot of respect (for Pacquiao). He’s done so much, not only for the Philippines. His popularity has transcended.”

The question, came as a result of Pacquiao's interest in working with the WWE in some facet. It's highly doubtful that Pacquiao would step into a WWE ring to fight, as he is still in his prime and stands to make a lot of money for years to come.

Don't get me wrong; I realize the WWE can give him a hefty sum, similar to what they paid Floyd Mayweather in 2008. However, does it make sense for him to fight Cena in a gimmick "boxing vs wrestling match"?

For that matter, would Cena go along with it? After all, the non-wrestler has traditionally won and made the wrestler look terrible.

I guess only time will tell if these two titans will ever lock horns in the ring.
