The Ultimate UFC Drinking Game For Fight Nights

Set 'em up. Knock 'em down.

It's time for the ultimate UFC drinking game.

Hoist up a glass of your favorite brew, energy drink, nutrient-infused water, diet cola, pickle juice, protein shake, soy latte, Lyoto Machida's urine…it doesn’t matter. As long as you have it in quantity, and you're a fan of the UFC, you’re good to go. 

And this isn’t one of those theoretical "drinking games" either. It was designed not only to be an entertaining read, but an actual, functional game. Come next fight night, I'm playing this thing.

Take One Drink When…

Someone scores a takedown.

Someone passes guard.

You hear a strike land as well as see it.

There is blood.
            
The camera finds an attractive woman (or man…whatever you like). This includes Octagon Girls.

You see a gladiator.

Dana White appears.

A celebrity at ringside gives you the clenched-fist pose.

You hear Kid Rock.

You hear French-Canadian hip-hop.

You see someone in the audience wearing one of those goth-puke T-shirts.

There’s a timeout due to nut shot.

For a turbo boost: Drink once for every person, company or deity a fighter thanks during the post-fight interview.

Take Two Drinks for Each of the Following Phrases…

“He’s in big trouble, Mike!”

“Here we go!”

“On the button.”

"Bring it on, come on!"

“Dropping bombs.”

“We aaarrrrrre liiiiiiive!”

“I’m here with a very happy [fighter name].”

“That thing is deep.”

For an extra turbo boost: Two drinks anytime you hear someone drop the F-bomb.

Take Three Drinks for Each of the Following Phrases...

“I think he’s going for an omoplata!”

“I just wanted to go out there and fight my fight.”   

"That was a big knee!"

"Never leave it in the hands of the judges."

“I’ll fight anyone they put in front of me.”

"I want to apologize to [BLANK]."

"...ever-evolving ground game..."

"Looking for the finish!"

Take Four Drinks When...

There is a TKO.

A fighter taps out.

Finish Your Drink When...

There is a first-round stoppage.

A fighter goes to sleep, either by choke or KO.

A belt changes hands.

Rogan makes some kind of reference to genitals.

Buffer does a 360 during fighter introductions.

Pour Half Your Drink on the Ground When...

Anyone utters the word "Pride."
