2011 NFL Preseason Schedule: Are the Preseason Games over Yet?
I am sorry. I try to stay as positive as possible.
I love the National Football League. I really do. The NFL, each and every week in the fall, is nothing but good times, but the preseason is the exact opposite to me.
It has only been a week, and I am already sick of the preseason garbage. Make no mistake, I understand why there are "exhibition" games, and respect the young guys trying to make a roster.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I also know how important it is to get all the rust off of the players after such a long layoff. I get all of that.
Sadly, it it doesn't make it any more entertaining to watch. I watched my hometown Green Bay Packers play Saturday night, and that was fine. I live in the state so, of course, I will have interest in them playing.
Then I flipped on ESPN last night, and I cared for all of three plays before flipping the channel. I just did not care one bit to see the game.
The stadiums sell less tickets. Less people watch the games. Ratings are down. No attention is given whatsoever to the wins and losses. Star players play a few snaps, then get out of town.
Again, I get it. They are "exhibition" games that are no more than practice. Of course, interest is not very high. I guess my problem lies more with the hype they are given.
ESPN and NBC have been hyping up the fact that "football is back."
Um, no it isn't. Not for another few weeks. SportsCenter showing highlights, breaking it all down...for what?
Nothing.
Every league has their own "exhibition" season, but nobody cares about any of them...except for the NFL. I guess it really is that popular nowadays, but to me?
To me, the real season starts September 8th.
