Bills vs. Broncos: Tim Tebow Needs to Build on Impressive Preseason Opener
How Will Tim Tebow Perform in the Broncos Second Preseason Game?
In the Denver Broncos first preseason game, Tim Tebow went 6-of-7 passing for 91 yards, and also carried the ball two times for 15 yards.
He did perform well, and definitely kept the distance between he and No. 3 QB, Brady Quinn.

However, it wasn't so spectacular that he narrowed the gap on No. 1 QB, Kyle Orton.
There's always going to be room for improvement, but in order for him to deflect any more pressure put on him, playing well on a consistent basis becomes imperative.
This leads us to Denver's next real-fake football game against the Buffalo Bills.
In their first preseason game, the Bills played rather well against the Chicago Bears, however they fell 10-3.
There, the Buffalo defense totaled seven sacks, forced one fumble, and picked off one pass.
Obviously starting QB Jay Cutler wasn't playing the whole time, but it's still a solid performance nonetheless.
Additionally, Bills LB Shawne Merriman is healthy after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in November of 2010.
Don't expect Merriman to play the whole time, but for as little time as Orton received, we may see Tebow being rushed by the former Chargers LB.
So what does Tim Tebow need to do in order to build on game one?
Or better yet, where does he need to improve the most?
Well, let's answer both.
Tebow builds on game one by picking up where he left off.
By that I mean being more patient and comfortable in the pocket.
He showed signs of excellent accuracy, as evidence of this 43-yard deep toss to WR Matt Willis.
However, there was also the play where he dropped back, stepped up and into the pocket, then took off running laterally to his left (crossing the line of scrimmage by three yards), then went all the way back to his right, only to throw the ball for an eight-yard gain.
Hence, everything was nullified by an illegal forward pass, an ineligible receiver down-field, and a block in the back. Oh what fun.
So, he comes with a solid upside, but a downside that can be very, very ugly.
If Tebow can prevent such a play from occurring, it's only going to show how much he has matured within one week.
Game two will tell us a lot as to whether Tebow has solidified himself as the No. 2 QB.
If he repeats the Dallas performance, it's not an improvement, but he won't take a step back.
But, it would then allow Brady Quinn to gain some ground, while Orton continues to separate himself.
Each game becomes more important than the last.
