10 Reggie Bush Video Highlights That Should Get Miami Dolphins Fans Excited

Zach KruseJun 1, 2018

The Miami Dolphins traded for Reggie Bush on July 28, giving the team an exciting weapon on both offense and special teams while also allowing Bush to escape the running back log jam in New Orleans

Now, the Dolphins are hoping Bush can help provide a spark for an offense that ranked 21st in total yards (5,170) and 30th in scoring offense (17.1 points/game) last season.

To be honest, Bush has been a hard player to figure out during his five NFL seasons. He was one of the most highly anticipated running backs to come out of college in this generation, but Bush has never been able to put it all together in the NFL.

Still, that hasn't stopped him from putting together a special highlight package.

Here are some of the 10 best Bush highlights from his football career.

Superman Coming Through

1 of 10

Dolphins fans should vividly remember this Bush touchdown.

Almost superhuman-like, Bush flew into the end zone while avoiding a Dolphins defender and staying in bounds for a Saints touchdown.

Simply put, it's one of more amazing NFL videos in recent memory.

Hey Minnesota Vikings: Don't Punt to Reggie Bush

2 of 10

On one Monday night in 2008, Reggie Bush showed everyone just how special he can be returning punts.

He used his extraordinary speed and a HUGE block to score his first punt return touchdown against the Minnesota Vikings.

Then, on his second, Bush's vision and burst allowed him to scoot right through the heart of Minnesota's punt coverage team.

Bush "Flips" out

3 of 10

When all else fails, sometimes you need to just need to "flip" out.

That's exactly what Bush did against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bush received an end-around, accelerated up the far sideline, then flipped into the end zone from at least three yards out.

Bush Pumps the Brakes

4 of 10

It's one thing to get to the top-end speed that Reggie Bush has.

It's a completely different thing to put on the brakes like Bush does here against Fresno State while at USC.

Zero to 60 in a flash—twice.

Nice Try, UCLA

5 of 10

We certainly haven't seen enough of these kind of runs from Bush in the NFL, but there's no denying that he has the kind of speed and vision to pull it off.

Watch him here against UCLA as he dances and runs his way for a Trojan touchdown.

I'm not sure if Bush would have been down if that were two-hand touch football.

Wheels His Way to Six

6 of 10

Bush is listed as a running back, but he's made his mark in the NFL as a receiver out of the backfield.

In the 2006 NFC Championship game, Bush runs a perfectly-designed wheel route and takes it to the house for a touchdown.

Chicago Bears safety Chris Harris—a fine athlete in his own right—didn't stand a chance.

Hurdle Me Home

7 of 10

Against the Houston Texans, Bush once again shows off his receiving skills and amazing leaping ability.

Quarterback Drew Brees finds him on the near sideline, then Bush does the rest as he hurdles a defender into the end zone.

Who Says He Can't Run Between the Tackles?

8 of 10

Bush hasn't been an elite player running the football in his NFL career (just 2,090 yards in five seasons), but 2009 was far and away his best season.

That year, Bush ran for 390 yards and five touchdowns on just 70 carries, giving him a 5.6 yards per carry average.

Against the St. Louis Rams, Bush rattled off this career-long 55-yard run.

Who Dat Cardinal Trying to Tackle Me?

9 of 10

Against the Arizona Cardinals, Bush again showed off his ability to break tackles and change direction, scoring from nearly 50 yards out after avoiding several tacklers.

Say what you want about his ability to be an every-down NFL running back, but any offense should welcome the kind of player who can make special plays like this running the ball.

Putting It All Together

10 of 10

To wrap this up, let's put together an extended highlight reel of some of Bush's best NFL plays.

And let's be honest, Dolphins fans: Reggie Bush might be your answer at running back. He's more of a situational player who never lived up to his unreal expectations coming out of USC.

But he's going to give you some plays this season that make you say, "Wow." In fact, I guarantee it.

If you have the right expectations for Bush, he's going to be a big-time hit in Miami.
