Arsenal Transfer Rumours: Gunners Confirm Cesc Fabregas Sale
Arsenal.com provides confirmation that the club has worked out a deal with FC Barcelona for the transfer of Cesc Fabregas. An agreement is said to exist in principle.
Fabregas is scheduled to have a medical in Barcelona tomorrow and personal terms are little more than a formality at this stage.
Such a direct admission from Arsenal brings an end to one of the most difficult and frustrating transfers the North London club has ever been involved in.

The departure of Cesc Fabregas creates more questions about Arsenal's ability to challenge for the top prizes.
Now Arsene Wenger must dedicate himself to the difficult task of adapting his team to cope with the loss of its most influential player.
Wenger must decide if he is going to bring in a new recruit in a similar mould to Fabregas, or if his system needs to adjust to the strengths of the remaining players.
Without Fabregas it remains to be seen if the Gunners can retain their present tactical structure and fluid style of play with the existing squad.
Establishing a clear team identity is a priority after the muddled performance against Newcastle to begin the season.
