While numbers two, four & five are debatable, there’s simply no argument regarding one & three.

The best soccer bar is a Beef O’Brady’s on the outskirts of Pasco County in balmy southwestern Florida. It opens early on the weekends for European matches and no one looks at you like you’re crazy when you order a cold beer at nine in the morning. Well, unless you typically have scotch.

The food is phenomenal, the TVs are plentiful, and well-arranged for your viewing pleasure and, most importantly, soccer is never short shrifted by some meaningless college football or NBA game. Or hockey. Well, unless it’s the Lightning.

Beef’s, as it’s known, is simply the best bar to watch soccer. I’d love to have each STO reader buy me a beer at their pub though, just to be sure. Call me!

And the best blog?

Why STO, of course.

Well, actually, I’m not that insane. While I’d like to think it’s STO, I know there are a lot of great bloggers out there writing some fantastic stuff about U.S. soccer right now.  It’s a small community of sports bloggers (at least here in America), but I like to think it’s a pretty close one too.

I enjoy almost everyone I read and I hope they feel the same. Whoever is voted best blog, congrats.

But… at least give us a shot!
