UFC on Versus 5 Results and Live Play-by-Play

The UFC will return to free television on Sunday Aug. 14, as the organization presents UFC on Versus 5. The event will be headlined by Chris Lytle and Dan Hardy, two fighters in dire need of a victory.

While the card's main event might not be the most captivating matchup of the year, this card is stacked deep with talent. In the co-main event, Jim Miller could earn a title shot with a win over former WEC Lightweight Champion Ben Henderson.

Also fighting on the main card, in a potential Fight of the Night candidate, Charles Oliveira and Donald Cerrone will look to take another step toward the lightweight division's top 10.

Bleacher Report will bring you live play-by-play of all the night's action. Coverage will begin at approximately 5:45 p.m. ET. Play-by-play of completed fights will be moved to the front of this slideshow as they are finished.

Dan Hardy vs. Chris Lytle

Round 1

Lytle lands a right and follows with a right hook to the body. Another right hook lands to the body of Hardy. Hardy lands a left hook.

Lytle catches a kick and tosses Hardy to the ground. Hardy lands a straight left and Lytle scores with a kick to the body.

Lytle connects and Hardy smirks. Lytle lands yet another left hook to the body. Hardy answers with a nice counter left hook.

Lytle scores a right hook to the body. Lytle backs Hardy up with a left hook to the chin. Another left hook lands for Lytle after a stiff jab.

Lytle lands two right hooks to the temple. Lytle stuns Hardy with a left in the final minute of the round. Good start for the soon-to-be-retired Lytle.

B/R scores the round 10-9 Lytle.

Round 2

Lytle lands multiple left hooks and a vicious right hook to the body. Another right hook lands to the body. Lytle swings wildly.

Hardy rocks Lytle with a right hand. Hardy lands a knee to bod, but Lytle recovers and scores the body. Hardy is poked in the eye and their is a brief pause.

Lytle is swinging for the fences. Lytle is buckled by an uppercut, but he continues to press forward after stuffing a takedown.

Hardy has Lytle on wobbly legs with a knee to the head. Lytle fires right back, but this is a much closer round than the first.

Lytle is punishing Hardy's body and lands another left hook to the head. At the end of the round, Lytle blasts the British fighter with a left hand.

Round 3

Lytle lands a left hook to start the final round of his career. Hardy takes a straight right to the body. Lytle lands a right to the body and left hook to the head.

Lytle is tagging Hardy over and over. Lytle continues to land right hooks to the body. Hardy shoots in for a takedown, but Lytle latches on to a guillotine choke. He finishes the MMA career with a mounted guillotine submission.

Lytle defeats Hardy by submission (guillotine choke) at of the third round.

Jim Miller vs. Ben Henderson

Round 1

Miller lands a left hand to start the action. He pumps the jab to back Henderson up. Henderson answers a jab of his own, but eats a short elbow in the clinch.

Miller looks to secure a standing arm triangle, but Henderson fights it off and takes Miller to the ground. Miller stands and blocks a head kick from Henderson.

Henderson pins Miller against the cage, but Miller is looking for a kimura. Henderson slams Miller to the canvas and frees his arm.

Miller looks for a guillotine, but it's too loose. Henderson lands elbows from half guard and the round comes to an end.

B/R scores the round 10-9 Henderson.

Round 2

Henderson lands a chopping leg kick, but gets clipped with a left hand from Miller. Henderson pushes forward and takes Miller down with a trip.

Henderson lands punches to the body and some short elbows with three minutes left in the round. Miller rolls for a leg lock, but Henderson defends and lands a big elbow.

Miller looks for a kneebar, but Henderson slips out. A heel hook attempt from Miller allows Henderson to land some big shots. Miller stands, but Henderson takes the fight to the ground and lands punches to the body.

Miller is looking for a kimura. Henderson is looking good after two round, but he doesn't want to keep messing around with Miller's submission attempts.

B/R scores the round 10-9 Henderson.

Round 3

Henderson lands a leg kick 30 seconds into the round. Another leg kick lands for Henderson, but Miller drops Henderson.

Henderson recovers quickly and takes Miller down. Henderson moves to mount against the fence and takes Miller's back.

Henderson locks up a rear naked choke. Miller fights it off, but he's taking big shots. Henderson looks for a mounted guillotine in the closing seconds of the fight.

Great fight by both fighters, but Henderson just made a huge statement.

Henderson defeats Miller by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 30-26).

Charles Oliveira vs. Donald Cerrone

Round 1

Cerrone lands a knee to the body. He follows that up with a leg kick to the lead leg of Oliveira. Cerrone lands another big knee to the body and defends a takedown.

Oliveira takes kick to the groin. On the restart, Cerrone lands another leg kick. Another leg kick lands for Cerrone with three minutes left in the round.

Cerrone is chopping at Oliveira's legs. He blasts Oliveira with a straight right hand and hurts Oliveira with a left to the body. Oliveira drops to the canvas and Cerrone pounces for a finish.

Cerrone defeats Oliveira by technical knockout (punches) at 3:01 of the first round.

Amir Sadollah vs. Duane Ludwig

Round 1

Sadollah lands an inside leg kick to start the fight. Dollaway lands a combination to the head and clinches against the fence. Both fighters are jockeying for position and landing knees to the body.

Sadollah drops for a double leg, but Ludwig defends and lands a knee to the body. Ludwig lands a right hand and has a head kick blocked. Ludwig is opening up, but he takes a kick to the lead leg.

Ludwig lands a kick to the body and buckles Sadollah with a left hook. Ludwig cliches and lands a short elbow.Ludwig continues to pick Sadollah apart and lands a nice left hook to the body at the end of the round

B/R scores the round 10-9 Ludwig.

Round 2

Ludwig lands a right hand off of an attempted leg kick from Sadollah. A straight right to the body scores for Ludwig.

Ludwig clinches and lands a knee. Sadollah looks to take the fight to the ground, but Ludwig pushes him away.

Ludwig lands another left hook to the body. Sadollah is looking to land leg kicks with two minutes left in the round, but Ludwig is checking most of them.

Ludwig catches Sadollah with another left hook. Sadolah looks for a takedown, but Ludwig defends and lands a knee on the exit.

Ludwig looks for a double leg takedown. Sadollah defends well, though. Ludwig lands a elbow to the left side of Sadollah's head near the end of the round.

Round 3

Sadollah gets deep on a double leg attempt, but Ludwig defends. Sadollah's leg kicks are more effective in this third round.

Sadollah lands a front kick to the face of Ludwig. Ludwig smiles and defends a takedown midway through the round.

Ludwig lands a straight right and follows up with a leg kick. Sadollah lands a kick to the body and another front kick to Ludwig's head.

Both fighters are throwing stiff right straights with one minute left in the fight. Ludwig looks to secure a takedown at the end of the round and he does.

Hamman lands a slapping leg kick. He is picking Dollaway apart early, but "The Doberman" presses forward and secures a takedown.

Dollaway takes Hamman's back, but Hamman stands and secures an underhook. Dollaway puts Hamman's back on the mat again, though.

Dollaway gains full mount and secures a deep arm triangle choke. Hamman defends, though, and regains his full guard.

Dollaway lands a big shot from the guard, but Hamman regains his feet. Again, Dollaway drags Hamman down, but he rides high on Hamman's back, which allows Hamman to end up on top.

Hamman moves to side control and quickly transitions to full mount. Dollaway gives up his back, but he is able to escape and land some big shots at the end of the round. Hamman survives, but he was hurt badly at the end of the frame.

B/R scores the round 10-9 Dollaway.

Round 2

Hamman is keeping Dollaway at the end of his jab. Dollaway is hurt and dives in for a double leg. Hamman stuffs the attempt and moves to side control.

Hamman is working some excellent ground and pound halfway through the round. Hamman secures a crucifix and moves to full mount.

Dollaway is hurt and in survival mode with less than two minutes left in the round. Hamman continues his tremendous pace and forces an end to the fight.

Hamman defeats Dollaway by technical knockout (punches) at 3:38 of the second round.

Joseph Benavidez vs. Eddie Wineland

Round 1

Wineland lands an uppercut in the first minute of the fight. Benavidez answers with a pair of leg kicks. Benavidez lands a right hand after feinting a leg kick.

Benavidez lands two overhand rights and a left hook. Wineland is busted up with two minutes left in the round.

Benavidez closes the round by slowing the pace an landing leg kicks.

B/R scores the round 10-9 Benavidez.

Round 2

Wineland starts the second round as he started the first, as he lands an uppercut. Wineland lands to the eye of Benavidez and the Team Alpha Male product backs away and looks for time to be called.

Referee Josh Rosenthal does not grant Benavidez time, though. Wineland isn't able to take advantage of Benavidez's temporary lack of focus.

Wineland stuffs a takedown with less than one minute remaining in the round. Both fighters land knees to the body from the clinch. Benavidez attempts a throw, but Wineland slips out of it.

Benavidez secures a single leg, but Wineland fends it off until the end of the round.

Round 3

Benavidez lands a right hook in the early seconds of the final stanza. Another right hook hurts Wineland and Benavidez looks to land a flying knee.

Benavidez is finding success with the inside leg kick and overhand right combination. He lands a kick to the outside of Wineland's lead leg.

Wineland lands a solid straight right hand. He looks for a takedown, but Benavidez stuffs it easily.

Ed Herman vs. Kyle Noke

Noke lands a front kick to start the fight. He follows it up with a right hand. Noke looks for a takedown, but Herman lands on top.

Noke quickly escapes and takes Herman down with a body lock. Noke lands a right hand, but Herman looks for a triangle choke.

Noke escapes and then defends an armbar. Herman is remaining active off of his back, though, and is threatening with an armbar again.

Noke escapes and attempts to move to full mount. Herman sneaks out the back door and traps a leg. He commits to a heel hook and forces Noke to tap.

Herman defeats Noke by submission (heel hook) at 4:15 of the first round.

Karlos Vemola vs. Ronny Markes

Round 1

The fighters clinch immediately and Markes presses Vemola against the cage. Markes lands an elbow as the fighters separate.

Vemola is swinging wildly and Markes secures a double leg takedown. Markes is trying to pull Vemola's back away from the fence with two minutes remaining in the round.

Vemola wall walks, but Markes slams him back to the canvas. Vemola stands, but a poor attempted throw allows Markes to gain full mount.

Vemola quickly escapes, though, and jumps on a gullotin attempt. However, there's not enough time for him to finish.

B/R scores the round 10-9 Markes.

Round 2

Vemola looks for a takedown early in the round, but Markes defends. Vemola swings wildly, which allows Markes to secure another takedown.

Vemola stands, but Markes lands a hook and puts Vemola right back on the canvas. Vemola stands, but he is taking repeated knees to the thigh.

Markes drops to a single leg and takes the fight to the ground again. Markes moves to side control and the round comes to an end.

Round 3

Markes runs Vemola into the fence and secures another takedown. Markes moves to side control with two minutes left in the fight.

Lackluster third round, but Markes easily did enough to take the victory.

Hettes misses with a wild left hand and gets tossed to the canvas by Caceres. Caceres lets Hettes up, but Hettes looks to take the fight to the ground.

After a wild scramble, Hettes looks for a leg lock. Caceres defends, though, and begins dropping bombs on his opponent.

Hettes reverses Caceres, but "Bruce Leeroy" ends up on top after another scramble. Hettes is actively looking for a submission, but getting tagged in the process.

Hettes reverses Caceres, Caceres attempts and omoplata, but Hettes defends beautifully. Hettes jumps on another leg lock, but Caceres fends it off.

Great back-and-forth grappling match. Tough round to score.

Round 2

Hettes executes a hip toss and looks for a D'Arce choke. Caceres defends, but Hettes takes his back. Another scramble ends with a triangle choke attempt by Hettes.

Caceres escapes and both fighters stand. Another judo throw for Hettes. Caceres looks to reverse position with a single leg, but it allows Hettes to take his opponent's back. Hettes locks up a rear naked choke and forces Caceres to tap.

Hettes defeats Caceres by submission (rear naked choke) at 3:12 of the second round.

Cole Miller vs. T.J. O'Brien

O'Brien looks to stay on the outside with leg kicks and jabs early on. Miller lands a straight right one minute into the bout.

O'Brien lands a combintation with a left to the body and right to the head. O'Brien is looking good on his feet, as he lands another quick combination.

Miller lands a slapping leg kick with two minutes left in the round. O'Brien answers with a leg kick of his own. Miller lands a big hook after hurting O'Brien by checking a leg kick.

O'Brien lands a left to the body and an inside leg kick before the close round comes to an end.

B/R scores the round 10-10.

Round 2

Miller lands a jab and left hook as O'Brien looks to push forward. O'Brien continue to eat jabs as he presses forward. Miller drops O'Brien with a left hook and begins kicking the legs of his downed opponent.

Miller locks up a guillotine and secures a body triangle. Miller rolls for a mounted guillotine, but loses his right-hand grip. O'Brien taps due to a one-armed guillotine.

Miller defeats O'Brien by submission (one-armed guillotine) at 2:38 of the second round.

Edwin Figueroa vs. Jason Reinhardt

Figueroa takes the center of the Octagon. Reinhardt continues to back-peddle in an attempt to force Figueroa to commit.

Figueroa clips Reinhardt and jumps on a guillotine attempt. Reinhardt fights it off and quickly takes Figueroa's back.

Figueroa reverses position and lets his opponent stand. Reinhardt ends up on his back after a sloppy shot. Figueroa finishes the round with some dominant ground and pound.

B/R scores the round 10-9 Figueroa.

Round 2

Another sloppy shot from Reinhardt allows Figueroa to transition to full mount. Reinhardt gives up his back and is quickly pounded out by Figueroa.

Figueroa defeats Reinhardt by technical knockout at (0:50) of the second round.

Jacob Volkmann vs. Danny Castillo

Volkmann and his corner walk out with "Volkmann for President" shirts. Of course, Volkmann jokingly called out U.S. President Barack Obama after his last win over Antonio McKee.

Round 1

Volkmann looks to clinch early, but Castillo is able to avoid it with a knee to the body. Castillo lands an inside leg kick. He continues chopping at the lead leg of Volkmann in the first two minutes of the fight.

Volkmann secures a slick double leg, though, and looks to secure a D'Arce choke. Castillo escapes and winds up in Volkmann's full guard.

Volkmann escapes, but Castillo lands a kick to the body and looks for a double leg. Volkmann defends to the end of the round.

B/R scores the round 10-9 Volkmann.

Round 2

Castillo lands an elbow to the head of Volkmann and looks for the takedown. Volkmann defends and takes Castillo down with a single leg.

Volkmann moves to half guard and looks for a D'Arce choke for the second time in the fight. Castillo spins out of it, but Volkmann looks for the same choke with less than one minute left in the round.

A much more definitive round for Volkmann this time, but Castillo is still looking good against Volkmann on the ground.

Round 3

Volkmann looks for a takedown, but Castillo defends after a scramble. A second takedown attempt is successful for Volkmann, though.

Yet again, Volkmann looks for the D'Arce choke. It's deep, but Castillo escapes with one minute left in the fight. He needs to make something happen, though.

Referee Mario Yamasaki threatens to stand the fight up as Volkmann is looking for another choke. I'm not sure what he was thinking there.
