Rory McIlroy Injures Wrist in Round One of PGA Championship

 To be honest, I finished with one hand.  I hit some good shots.  The only thing that let me down, I missed a couple of shot putts," McIlroy said.  "If it's the same tomorrow, and I know I'm not going to do any more damage to it, I'll play."

Medical Review

On the fifth hole, McIlroy was examined by medical personnel who advised him that he would not hurt himself more by continuing to play.

McIlroy Applies Ice

McIlroy applied an ice pack and played on. 

Wrist Is Wrapped

At the turn, McIlroy had his wrist wrapped. 

McIlroy Finishes Round

McIlroy went on to the back nine, and through the 13th hole was -1.  To that point he had three birdies and two bogeys with five holes to play.

According to his agent's representative, McIlroy will have a scan this evening to determine the extent of the injury and determine whether he should continue with the tournament.
