What to Make of Tim Tebow, Brady Quinn and Denver Broncos Depth Chart
Earlier this week the Denver Broncos released their first version of the 2011 depth chart.
It was no surprise as Kyle Orton came in at the No. 1 QB slot, while Tim Tebow came in at No. 2, then Brady Quinn at No. 3.
The biggest concerns here however, are how all three perform in live-game action.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Orton has been producing solid results through training camp thus far, while Tebow has been struggling.
And yet, he's still in a QB competition-For the right to backup Orton, along with Brady Quinn.
That being said, Thursday night's preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys could very well be the tip of the proverbial iceberg, as to who gets more reps.
Don't anticipate Orton playing more than one quarter (at the most), while Tebow and/or Quinn will be under center the rest of the way.
When Kyle Orton goes in for that first series, a lot will be taken from it, and chances are, it will be exaggerated.
Nonetheless, whether Orton gets the Broncos any points during his time on the field will be carefully examined.
In addition, whether or not he's able to avoid getting sacked, as well as not turning the ball over.
Bronco fans everywhere are going to expect him to play a near flawless few series.
But, twas not the case (even though he didn't turn the ball over during a scrimmage in front of fans).
In an article by Jon Heath of broncotalk.net, LB Robert Ayers came to his QBs defense:
""It was third down with nine yards to go at the Broncos’ full padded scrimmage at Invesco Field. (Kyle) Orton scrambled before sliding three yards short of the first yard marker. Then came the booing. The offense was forced to settle for a field goal in the red zone for the second consecutive drive."
"
Enter Robert Ayers:
""[I] really wish fans [would have] stopped booing Orton,” Ayers tweeted shortly after the scrimmage had ended. “He is our quarterback and our coach thinks he gives us the best chance of winning. Fans, please respect that.”
"
Now, can you imagine what it'll be like if Orton fails to produce in a real game?
Or what if Tebow significantly outperforms both Orton and Quinn, regardless of how well Kyle or Brady do?
Well for one, Tim has the sales and marketing factor on his side as his jersey is one of the highest selling.
Additionally, it's rolling over Orton's jersey in the Broncos team shop.
According to the Associated Press from FoxSports.com, Tebow is one popular player:
""Tebow is winning the popularity contest."
"The crowds at the team's Dove Valley headquarters are dotted with Tebow jerseys — his No. 15 is one of the league's best-sellers — while it's hard to find an Orton jersey."
"Even the team's pro shop had 60 adult Tebow jerseys for sale Monday and just five of Orton's No. 8 jerseys."
"
So, if Tebow dominates throughout the preseason and Orton is only mediocre, Kyle won't be the only one under scrutiny (new head coach John Fox anyone?).
