Derrick Rose: The Player We Know and Will Know

I have grown up on the south side of Chicago, went to George Washington High School, and have seen Derrick Rose totally destroy us in the city championship game about two years ago.

Let me tell you. Derrick Rose is the real deal!!

Rose showed me, along with many other people (normal people, scouts, whoever), in the game not just speed, but agility, stamina, and an ability to simply take over a game and destroy a team.

Don't get me wrong, this was high school, but he still had an uncanny sense to take over a game, no matter the level, or whoever the opponent. This is just a rare ability and something you would call a "sixth sense" of sorts.

Derrick Rose, as we all know, went to the University Of Memphis, but people have many reports that he didn't score very much and possessed poor shooting skills. In my opinion, and some what factually, he was not asked to score.

If asked to score, not so much just distribute, Rose would probably have scored at least 19-25 ppg. This would have showed how great his skills really are. As of now, they are progressing through the first half of the NBA season.

He has already shown his ability to score off drives in the lane and driving off pick-and-rolls, but what is yet to come for Chicago Bulls' fans is the greatest of his achievements/gifts.

This is something that we have not seen in Chicago in about 10 years. A truly great player that not only can takeover a game, but can be so outstanding, so clutch, and make every player around him great.

Some people don't know this, but once upon a time, Rose was in a championship game, and barely shot the ball. He dished assist after assist. I think it was his junior year.

He only took one shot. That one shot won them the championship!

That one shot created a future star that now graces the hardwood of the UC (United Center) of his hometown Chicago Bulls.

Chicago, get ready. Standing at 6'3" from Chicago is DERRICK ROSE!!!

A star is being born. Just look at him. Every time he dunks on someone and says "I'm just trying to win."

Modest, but finally a star!!
